Wrong. Only one, so far, has been indicted for the crime. So far, there hasn't been enough evidence to indict anyone else.

    Barbarian observes:
If she wasn't an agent, why did the CIA tell investigators that she was? And why did the White House commit a crime trying to cover up a non-crime?

The excuses being peddled now, are aimed only at the gullible who want to believe.

    Well reasoned defense of gullibility:
Not many people are buying any excuses from Bush any more. Not even as clever an argument as that one.

And I think my original statement is a better overview of this whole non-incident.

And yes, when everyone disagrees with you, you call them gullible. That's very funny.

Then we are in agreement that you have no basis for your statement that the "White House commit(ted) a crime trying to cover up a non-crime" except your own wishful thinking.

BTW An indictment is a legal and formal "accusation". And nothing more.

    Hot off the cyber-press......

The CIA officer whose identity was leaked to reporters sued Vice President Dick Cheney, his former top aide and presidential adviser Karl Rove on Thursday, accusing them and other White House officials of conspiring to destroy her career. In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Valerie Plame and her husband, Joseph Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador, accused Cheney, Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby of revealing Plame's CIA identity in seeking revenge against Wilson for criticizing the Bush administration's motives in Iraq.

Big mistake by the known liar, Wilson.

    They'll put him under oath.

This ought to give us a little comic relief in the coming months.

And when you claim three out of five people in the discussion is "everyone", that's even funnier.

More specifically, a yet-to-be-determined number of senior WH staff commited a crime trying to cover up what is claimed to be a non-crime. It is often said that "the WH reported" or such, when in fact, it's the guys running the place that do it.

It's quite a bit more. It's the judgement of a prosecuter that the evidence is sufficient to get a conviction, and the judgement of a grand jury that agreed with him.

The difference? Ask Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. They were just accused. Scooter Libby? He was indicted. If you ask any of those gentlemen if there's a difference between getting enough evidence to indict and not getting enough evidence to indict, I'm sure they can explain it to you.

I wonder if we'll have to wait for the Libby indictment to fizzle before this gets heard.

Other than an indictment. Pretty solid, after all, um?

You're acting like the litter box after the cat left. Try to do better.

Too late for that. It's going to trial, unless Libby cops a plea, or his lawyer finds a loophole.
