Yes you can commit to only one area, while keeping in mind that most interact with each other in some form. [IMG]

How about a trial period? What if the kind of commitment you expect and the kind we thought you wanted were different. How will we know if we can't test the water?

If you read and agree with the issues, and know that you want to do something about it, than don't worry about it. People have different abilities and interests, and one hour of active involvement a month by one person may be just as effective as ten days of action by another.
Plus we don't ask for your address for no reason...we send the BB activist posse out to hogtie you and force you to publish underground newspapers if you don't meet the 29 hours of activism a day requirement. :p

Rom, not all of the issues deal only with problems in the United States. Also, the issues are important to ALL Christians, and of course it would be helpful to share different ideas and tactics used in different countries that one may not have thought of. [IMG]

What of those who would like to inquire into what's being done, see what other people think, etc? I can't commit to something that I don't know anything about.

Just a word about the education issue. I would not want to lobby for creation to be taught. Many of those who would be 'teaching' it would teach it in such a tone as to make fun of it.

Far better for the wording to be that challenges to evolution may be taught. That keeps it within the realm of established and accepted science and also allows the Intelligent Design folks, who are doing such a good job in a number of places, to be acknowledged. Teaching 'creationism' truly does not come under a science heading. However mandating challenges to evolution leaves the door open for much more and does teach students to start looking at evidence and actually think for themselves, which is a valuable thing for anyone to learn.

And, the simple fact is that if it were known how all four legs of evolution (time, chance, mutations, and natural selection) fail to support it either singly or in concert, creationism is by elimination going to be taken more seriously in people's minds.
