    Well, just great! Thanks to my cousin, who said, "How do you cut up all those peppers without them burning your hands? I have to use gloves when I do it.", now MY hands are burning for the first time ever after making my salsa. The power of suggestion just blew away years of never having a problem with cutting peppers up to make salsa or any other recipes. Thanks cuz. :tonofbricks::laugh:

    Funny post, I once had a paper cut and was cutting hot peppers when I felt the heat.

    this summer I cut up a fresh japlepeno pepper for the time, and then touched my face, and I knew I'd forgotten something.

    Well, I would, tell the story of when I was hunting down in South Texas and was cutting up the dove , other vegetables and jalapenos for shish-k-bobs, when I needed to go to the bathrrom and forgot to wash my hands first.....but since this is a Christian site I probably shouldn't recall the after-math of that embarrassing episode. (Let's just say that Jesse Owens' running ability and most sailors colorful metaphors had nothing on me.)

    I can cut up dat Cayenne pepper from sout' Louisian'-----dats what we call

    Red Pepper from Hell!!!!!!!!

    I never used gloves to cut up hot peppers either, until one night I canned salsa and tried to take out my contacts before going to bed!
