Oxford Union will host a debate this Friday (1-23-15) on the resolution "This House Believes The United States is Institutionally Racist."

The debate will feature in opposition of the resolution

Joe R Hicks - Vice President of leading political thinktank Community Advocates Inc
Charlie Wolf - Writer, broadcaster & political commentator featured on BBC, SkyNews & elsewhere
David Webb - Co-founder of Tea Party 365 & host of David Webb Show

Supporting the resolution will be Rev. Al , Aaron Dixon, and Mychal Denzel Smith.

Sharpton said that he could not debate and could not take questions but that he could give a set speech. David Webb says that Sharpton has never debated anywhere and never takes questions anywhere.

Assuming the USA is institutionally racist, why doesn't Sharpton emigrate to a non-racist country?

Sadly there is no such place on this earth. I told many European friends when the subject of American racism came up and they refused to admit there is racism in Europe, that the difference between the USA and Europe is we will admit there is racism and will work to eliminate it; that we have made progress. But in Europe there is no progress as they will not admit there is racism there.

Just a stupid question for a Christian to ask. Perhaps unlike yourself, Sharpton is concerned with getting rid of racism and racial prejudice where he is instead of going to a non-racist country.

He sees a problem HERE, in this country. Those blinded by privilege do not. Ain't nothing new.

I can't believe that there is racism in black societies. If racism is institutional, and I imagine that you believe that it is, then we have not made any progress whatsoever. Why would a Jew stay in Nazi Germany if he could leave?

"PLEASE NOTE: The Emergency Debate will not take place this evening - instead an individual address by Rev Al Sharpton will precede the debate at 7pm."

Rev. Al is incapable of debate, as we see, so it is up to you to take his place.

Why did right wing conservatives stay in the country after Obama was re-elected?

There is no institutional racism. The fact that Sharpton will not defend it only proves it.

Sharpton is going to speak in favor of the resolution; however, he is not personally capable of answering questions or refuting the opposition so he told Oxford that he could not engage in the debate. So Sharpton says that there is institutional racism here, in which case I think that this country is hopeless and is a nazi country. And that may explain why Oprah says that old white people need to die and soon.
