Palin fights back

The "witty" Left thinks that all the dumb "red state" people will never grasp their inside humor, and because of that, they will never be insulted. One has to understand the slight to be insulted.

Well, consider us INSULTED. Them's fightin' words!

 

I've thought about this a little more...

In the case of "blood libel" the term has evolved in it's use such that it is applied to situations similar to but other than the specific circumstance in which it originated.

The case of "teabaggers" it is nothing more than a deliberate misapplication of the word meant to do nothing more than insult and offend.

And can't help but marvel at the mind of a Christian would go to that word as an example in the first place.

But hey, that's just me.

 

Who cares? She never had any friends amongs the Jewish population in the first place.

Jews need to get over themselves. They don't own the term and i think it's a good description of what liberals and their press were doing...libeling her by trying to cover her with the blood of innocents.

Liberals hate Palin so much because they're afraid of her and she's not afraid , as Obama urged his own followers to do , of "getting in their face".

 

I'm wondering how many people here watched her Alaska special...

For those who didn't, first, it was a great look at the State of Alaska. Palin and her family flew all over the state and showed the rest of the world a part of what makes Alaska a great asset to the United States. The scenery was magnificent.

Second, it showed the Palin family in their semi-normal routine. She took care of her kiddos, interacted with her husband, spent time with cousins, grandparents, etc. Of course, with cameras running, every line is somewhat scripted, but she didn't seem to be trying that hard to be an actor, and if anything it was the other way around. She said and did what she says and does.

Third, she thumbed her nose at every politically correct position under the sun and that was perhaps the greatest thing of the entire program. She fired guns in multiple episodes, including hunting and bagging a caribou. She picked up a Stihl chainsaw and cut down a huge tree while visiting a logging camp. She beat fish over the head with a club after catching them in the ocean. Her family fishing operation was shown for what it is -- commercial salmon fishing that helps to feed a hungry nation. She never "abused" nature, but she sure used it. Meanwhile, she talked about the neighbor who moved into the home RIGHT next to hers (they build a huge wall to halt his vision into their windows). She showed off her father's home, covered with mounted game animals (he is a school teacher). She showed native Alaskans preserving fish for their winter needs. She talked about oil, gold, water, and wilderness. I'd say that she has a dose of testosterone that many a man in Washington DC could use.

Fourth, she showed that she has a sense of humor and that she is not quite as stupid as everyone suggests. She has built an admirable empire and has moved up in a hostile world in ways that few others ever accomplish. She certainly is not the darling of the establishment or establishment media, yet she manages to be there, in their face, anyway.

I'm a fan... But, all that being said, I also hope that she does not run for President. Not because she cannot do it -- she certainly can -- but because she won't live more than a week or two in office before someone offs her... We see that sentiment even in the posts here on this BAPTIST board. :BangHead:

 

My local liberal talk radio host, Andy Johnson, said he doesn't use the term "teabaggers" because it's offensive. He asked another liberal talk host on his station to stop using it. However, Mr. Johnson said he thought the term "Tea Bag Party" was okay because they sent tea bags to Congress. He asked, on air, for someone from the Tea Party to call in and clarify. Andy Johnson thinks liberals should reach out to Tea Party people and try to find common ground. He's had some success on the local level.

 

One sure way to get the left to declare "teabagger" to be out of bounds is to start applying it to gay public personalities.

Try saying "teabagger Barney Frank" on the radio and see how quick the libs condemn the word. :laugh:

 

Even the Daily Heil (British right-wing newspaper; column written by a conservative Jew) has come out against Palin.

 

Does this mean that Mr Samuel won't be voting for her? "Conservative" or not, he is making a mountain of a molehill. And I doubt if Sarah Palin knew that Rep. Giffords was Jewish. I didn't know beforehand.

The anti-Palin types just keep moving the goalposts. Sarah wasn't responsible for the shooting they admit. Loughner wasn't associated with the Tea Party movement they admit. All politicians use martial campaign language they admit. But by golly Palin must be attacked for something!

 

Given that Mr Samuel is a Brit, it is unlikely that he will be voting for anyone in your Presidential election next year.

The general principle remains: holding, or aspiring to hold, public office, engenders a greater degree of responsibility for what comes out of one's mouth than that of your average Joe. So far, I have seen little evidence from Sarah Palin that she is capable of discharging that responsibility and that opinion is reinforced pretty much each time she opens her mouth and blesses us all with her pearls of wisdom; indeed, I would go so far as to say that she is afflicted with foot-in-mouth disease.

 

Yes I know. Tongue-in-cheek doesn't show up well in text.

Keep in mind that she was called out for not speaking soon enough, and was accused of having blood on her hands by at least two newspapers.

As far as we know, she is not running for any public office at this time. Bush Derangment Syndrome would look like childsplay compared to the frenzy that would result should she do so.

 

Much like the current occupant of the White House.
