I also have no confidence in Palin's ability to be president. This is the second position (one appointed, one elected) in Alaska that she has resigned before her term was finished. I was not happy with NPR's characterization of her resignation statement as "rambling" until I listened to it. "Rambling" was accurate. It sounded like she was making it up as she went along.

I listened to her and I cannot think of a better word to describe her speaking than rambling. I have heard her speak during the last presidential campaign and she can do better than she did here, but for some reason she didn't.

I believe this may have ended her political ambitions or at least caused her some damage, but I believe the U.S. may have dodged a bullet if this causes her to forgo the presidential nomination in 2012.

    Mean...

You mean like questioning the citizenship or calling them a Muslim? How about saying the pal around with terrorist? I am sure the right has never been mean to any candidate on the left.

You know something I find strange, Palin's lawyer is saying he will press defamation charges on anyone saying she is under investigation yet she continually said Obama "pals" around with terrorist. Calls him a socialist. Is she a professional victim or what?

You mean the guy who graduated top of his Harvard law class? I'm sure any dummy can do that???

One thing about Obama, he hasn't quit yet and if he does he sure wouldn't get my vote again.

He had the sense not to pound his chest at Iran. All the bully right wingers would have walked right into the trap with no more military to take on another war.

I remember when LeBuick's posts didn't involve name-calling. What happened?

And isn't your post here factually incorrect, as well as over-the-top? You would certainly call me a "bully right winger," but I didn't advocate what you are saying.

I declare...your posts are sounding more and more like JustChristians used to...

I mean---------the media has already branded her with the big "L" ---- Loser

and no matter what she does------no matter if she's really a walking, talking genius politician

the news media has made its cast on her and the American public already "Ga-ga, goo-goo's" over anything the media has to say

I was just wondering--------what may be her plan-----obviously--she doesn't "need" the money the governor seat of Alaska pays-----just wondering if anyone of us in the BB could "read" her mind --- see what plan she is gonna throw out on the table for the '12 presidential race against the biggest loser of all time---bo!!

I still want to keep my eye on Louisiana's Bobby Jendyl for the Oval Office in '12------I think he's the best that the GOP can throw out for now!!!

If Palin and Jindal are the best the GOP has, they are definitely in deep doodie. When Jindal was given the national TV platform, he failed miserably. The Repubs are a party in dissarray and sorely need a statesman who can reach out to many constituencies.

There is nothing new about Sarah's quitting.

She went to five colleges in five years.

She quit the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

She resigned as mayor of Wasilla to be assigned to the commission.

She has now resigned as the governor of Alaska.

Seems to be a pattern here.

Who cares what the Republicans come up with in 2012? It will be another in a long string of anti-Constitution liberals that are the same as Democrats. We need a new party that puts up a Conservative to run, and squash both parties.

    Sure, I'm JC also...

By "bully right winger" I am referring to all the guys whose decisions don't make a difference who got on the airwaves demanding the president choose sides in Iran. Time has shown the President was right and they were wrong and I don't hear any apologies. We would now be the excuse for the unrest and the protesters we would have been sided with would be getting tried for siding with the US.

I will say this, if Sarah Palin got elected as president, I believe she would be the best looking, most attractive president ever. I have been out of the loop for the past week or so. I'm not sure why she resigned. I'll have to do some reading to catch myself back up.

I bet she would throw good parties also. Wonder who she would invite to state dinners? Would she serve polar bear steaks?

I'm gonna agree with ya here, Boss!!! Palin in the White House would be a beautiful breath of fresh air----------we men can't deny that she is a good lookin' "little Philly"!!!!!!!!

However-----you HAVE been out of the loop too long-------so let me catch you up on who we REALLY need in the Oval Office

and I ain't braggin' or nothin'--------but we Americans NEED my momma in that office------why, you say???? Because she's the only one I know who would have the guts to go after Bin Ladin------armed with nothin' more than a Fly Swatter!!!!!!!!!!

    I can see it now-----

On January 17----my momma places her hand on the Holy Bible(KJV) and is sworn into office

Late that afternoon---when the fireworks die down--------she then places her hand on her Fly Swatter and out the door she goes

"You're MINE now, Boy!!!!! This Fly Flap has your number on it!!!!"

    :laugh::thumbs:

PS----Blackbird can't begin to count how many times hes heard her comeing out the door----that fly flap "glistenin'"----locked & loaded!!!!!!!!!!!------------comin' after blackbird!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If she invited me, I would go. I wouldn't mind chowing down on polar bear steaks with a side of spotted owl patties.

I would not want to see her in the White House and not for the childish reasons that some have thrown her way. I'm sorry, but she should not have quit. It was a stupid move on her part. Personally, I could not vote for her now. Whose to say that if she got into the White House that she wouldn't quit when she had an epiphany and decided to move on half way through her term.
