Pastor Apologizes For Halloween Tract
No wonder the world thinks Christians are kooks.
My children attended a harvest party at another church and were also given some Chick tracts and read them before I could. One was entitled "Boo!" and included people celebrating Halloween with satanic sacrifices. It also made the claim that Halloween was a celebration of Satan's birthday. At the end of the tract it said you could be "wise" and make a decision for Christ, or be a "dummy" and wind up in hell. That's just great--calling children names for not accepting Christ! What kind of a nut would even publish something like that?
I've seen some great Halloween tracts in the past, but I DID NOT APPRECIATE this particular one, even though it came from friends in a sister church. We need to be very careful not to turn people AWAY from Christ with idiotic trash like this.
Why Christians in their right minds still pass out Chick tracts is beyond me. They are awful. This new one with the child who hangs himself is just as bad as the rest of them.
I haven't seen a Chick trac in ----- mercy ----- I don't know how long!!!
I'm sick and tired of "Christians" like this.. !!!! I swear if I didn't know Jesus, it would be hard to get me to become a Christian based on the way these so called Christians act!... I remember one yr I was indoctrinated by a church in Pinch WV that anyone that dresses up their children are evil and serving satan.. the next yr, I escaped that cult, and when my son dressed up he asked me if we were serving satan... I could ring that "preachers' neck for indoctrinating my kids.. but then i have to blame myself for falling for that myself.
Jack Chick tracts are good for nothing but starting fires.
Goood grief, that's awful!!! I'd love to see Chick ministries shut down!... them and the Phelps, and Spamderson... I can't understand why God keeps trash like that around!... blaspheming God's name!..
They are still out there.
Thank goodness this is the only place I read about them even.
Interesting point - but let's expand on that just a bit.
Dressing up as cowboys, Indians, Princess, ect, might be one thing.
But, do you see any problem dressing up as a witch, the Devil, ect?
That and Sword of the Lord. Sword of the Lord is better because you have more paper to burn.
