Perhaps - I just don't know. We can't slow it down by legislation, it is going to require sacrifices that people are too short sighted to make.

Actually, if we loose our country we can change things and not lose our country.

    * Sorry, Bunyon, but it seems like lately everywhere I read posts by people all over the Internet that people are spelling "lose" as "loose". Was a change made to the language and I wasn't informed? :D

KenH, I agree with this also, we can, but will we? That is the question. I share ck4's pessemism. But I hope!

The migration is encouraged by the gov's of the middle east. Just as the mexican Gov activly encourages it. The more vote's they have here, the more influcance they have. Plus we are just a better place to live.

And the goal of Islam is world domination - first by infiltration and then when sufficient numbers have infiltrated, by force - the same MO for centuries.

The burning is just the beginning. When people have their cars torched, what means of transportation do they have to escape? Next will come the beheadings of those who cannot escape. That is the Islamic way of conquering by force.

    Unfortunatley,

Christians are blamed for the Crusades. Yet, it was the Islamic hordes that caused the defensive stragegy that we know now as the Crusades.

Only God knows what will happen next.

Muslims will continue to destroy the world as they try to force the Messiah to return.

However, our real defeat was at the hands of Hollywood. The corruption is so complete that most people in the Church prefer Hollywood theology over God and His theology.

    Sorry El,

I agree with the damage that Hollywood has caused, but the root goes much deeper than that. Our defeat began when God's people became prosperous, focused on numbers, and forgot about bring the salt of the earht and the light of the world.

One of the points which seems to have been missed here is poverty. The arrondissements where the rioters live are some of the most deprived slums in France. Unemployment is endemic. Now, that is not to excuse the rioters but it's no coincidence that you rarely see middle-class people with jobs rioting. Give a young man a job, and he is far less likely to have the energy or time to riot, he will have far more to lose and he will feel more integrated into society as a whole. Leave him unemployed and he will have nothing to lose by rioting, plenty of time and energy with which to do it, and will feel marginalised and excluded from society; in such circumstances he is much more likely also to turn to his religion and ethnicity as a 'badge' of his belonging, over and against the culture of the country in which he lives.

Appreciate the input Matt, but I contend that these impoverished sections of Paris are only a catalyst that some Muslims have been looking for to strive an destabilise a Western Democracy. They will use any excuse to motivate violence against the West. It was easy in France because of the secular state. The forbidding of the hijab, even though it included all religious symbols has intensly angered the Muslim word, and this is their response.

You are one of the few who has attempted to cast some blame on the French government as was cast in the US government after 9/11. I don't think we can blame Washington or Paris for acts of violence against thier states.

This is now on page three - as it has become a discussion of the politics and reasons behind the Paris riots instead of the riots themselves I am moving it to the Politics Forum.
