    Dispensational garbage.

Yeshua1, are you Jewish? I wonder that because of your moniker and your apparent rejection of the scriptural notion that we're talking about an evil and adulterous generation that was foretold by Moses that they WERE NOT God's people. You have a real problem with that, don't you?

You also have a real problem with knee jerk spouting off with no scriptural support.

I like Mauro on this. Drawn from 'The Seventy Weeks and the Great Tribulation' by Phillip Mauro:

    “SELF-INFLICTED SUFFERINGS

In the light, therefore, of this comparison of scripture with scripture, we think it plain that the "great tribulation" of Matthew 24:14 was that unparalleled calamity, with its unspeakable sufferings, which befell the city and people in A.D. 70.

In the history of "The Wars of the Jews" by Josephus we have a detailed account, written by an eye witness, of the almost unbelievable sufferings of the Jews during the siege of Jerusalem. To this account we will refer later on; but we wish to state at this point that the distresses of those who were hemmed in by the sudden appearance of the Roman armies were peculiar in this respect, namely, that what they endured was mainly self-inflicted. That is to say, they suffered far more from cruelties and tortures inflicted upon one another, than from the common enemy outside the walls. In this strange feature of the case it was surely "a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time" (#Da 12:1).

What went on within the distressed city calls to mind the words of Isaiah:

"Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel (the food) of the fire. No man shall spare his brother. And he shall snatch on the right hand and shall be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand and not be satisfied; they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm. Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His wrath is poured out still" ([HASHTAG]#Isa[/HASHTAG] 9:19-21).” Mauro, Chap 13, 70 Wks.

That self curse of Mat. 27:25 was cancelled by the Gospel - for those who repented:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

You also have a problem with using spell check.

I've answered you that question numerous times. You're wearisome.

That's a given. I hope I've not come across as so severe to imply none were to be forgiven for it. Have I?

34 And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots. Lu 23

As in Jn 17, this prayer was for His own.

Wow, are the preterists on this thread nasty. Dispensationalism is "Satanic"? Really!?? Do you actually think calling the doctrine of your opponents "Satanic" is godly and helpful and convincing? Wow.

Makes me long for the good old days here on the BB when the preterists were at least nice to us poor, misguided souls.

    ....the ones getting demonized.

I think that's what you really miss.

Serious students of the word are increasingly finding Dispensationalism wanting. Get over it.

Funny, my version doesn't say second coming. Are you using the LaHaye translation version?

Chapters like Hosea 1 and John 8 directly and powerfully contradict the Dispensation doctrine that Jews are God's people. The notion that God's people are anyone aside from Faith is the most unbiblical of all false doctrines. It doesn't help the Dispensation case that Israelies are not Jews, they are just are people who have made a religion out of rejecting Jesus. The dispensation doctrine boils down to a most anti-Christian doctrine, that those who reject Jesus are God's people.

Odd then, that in those eschatology verses, it's all about Judea, specifically Jerusalem. You'd think for a global event, something would be said about some place far away from Jerusalem. Even the whore in Revelation is more likely Jerusalem than Rome.

Ahhh, that's more like the BB I've been accustomed to, preterists evil dispies good.

Still can't get the hang of that spell check, eh? Maybe if you were to start posting some substance in lieu of knee jerk quips you would take some pride in your product.

The hitorical church always calld pretierism heresy, correct?
You cannot deny the actual second coming and stay biblical!
Nor deny the physical/bodily resurrection yet to come!

Christians that obey/understand the bible correctly have always declared Pretierism to be heresy. Period.
