He fought as a tail gunner in WWII.
He gave hundreds of millions of dollars to kids with cancer.
    He was colorblind.
He lost a son to a drug overdose, aged 28.
He was on Nixon's top 20 enemies list.
Good actor, yes. Nice guy, apparently.

I apologize for my previous remark to you. At the time I had just learned of Newman's death, and was upset and sad.

Actually when and if Rush and O'Reilly were to die you might hear a lot of praise.

Alright that was mean spirited on my part and I really didn't mean it but I had to get that out of my system. Ahhhh! I feel better now.

That is hilarious that you would even offer this comment. Limbaugh and O'Reilly combined haven't given as much money and supported the projects that Newman did.

Much of Newman's charitable work was not done in the public spotlight, as is the case with O'Reilly and Limbaugh.

Newman served in the Navy - of course neither Limbaugh nor O'Reilly served in the armed forces.

Although his son died of a drug overdose, Newman does not appear to have been a drug-addicted hedonist like Limbaugh, or a man prone to sexual harrassment like O'Reilly.

Though they are (and should) be commended for their charitable contributions, together - O'Reilly and Limbaugh - aren't half the man Newman was.

    He will be missed.
