This story proves how important local elections are...and how one moron can mess up the works:

    A couple of points:
    1. As with many big cities that suffer under clueless leadership, Pittsburgh punishes legitimate gun owners in the name of "safety." They now require any gun that is stolen to be reported in a day's time. Here's the rub: in Pennsylvania there is a state ban on local laws on "the transfer, ownership, transportation or possession" of guns. The question is whether that extends to reporting lost or stolen firearms.
    2. In response to that issue, councilwoman Tonya Payne says, "Who really cares about it being unconstitutional?"

So this woman is willing to waste thousands of taxpayers' money to pass a bill that will not stand up in court. Not to mention, puts yet another burden on legitimate gun ownership. And to top it off, she has no respect for the rule of law.

Folks, we argue about presidential elections...but if I'm lyin', I'm dyin: These local elections are more important when it comes to the day to day task of living within a government's realm of control.
