    Reverend Dr. Cassidy,

I have tried to ask, "Why you would call Pelagius a 'Church Father'?" You told me that I was ignorant since I did not know him as such a person.

    Please kind sir,

Teach me how this man has come to be one of YOUR church fathers? I realize that I do not have your great learning and education. Therefore, I ask a simple question: "Again, why do you want Pelagius to be known as a 'Church Father'?"

No doubt, a significant number of learned men convinced you that he was such. I do not believe that you were persuaded by mere novices, nor by only a subject matter expert or two.

Please then, tell us where we can gain the learning that you share in such short morsels. Please, share the list of citations that proved to you that the heretic was also a saintly Church Father.

    In Christ,

    Wayne

Your post has already been answered several times. Once in the forum by Pastor Larry who said, on page 2 of the thread "I am abandoning TULIP:"
And once in the open forum by me when I said in the thread "Calvinism makes God Insincere of His Word" page six:
Then, twice in Private Message, the first time giving you all the information above, and the second time, when I sent the same material again I get this response "Sorry, you are on this member's ignore list. You cannot send a private message to this person."

So, El mentiroso, how many more times do you want me to post the answer before you actually read it?

Well, whetstone, he will ignore the above answer and wait a few days then post then ask the same question again, and again, and again, and again. Rather like a broken record! :D :D :D :D

It is always easier to ignore the truth than admit you are wrong.

I cannot adequately express how much I hate the "Sorry, the time in which you may edit your message has elapsed" message.

I have a neurological disorder that makes typing very difficult, and when I post a message I sometimes make typing errors. I continue on to the next thread, then come back and see my error, and when I try to correct it I am told I can't edit my own posts. What in the world is the webmaster thinking? What is so terrible about a person editing their own post, which is their own intellectual property, to correct typing errors? Why the silly time limit (which must be very short for I hardly had time to even get back to it before I was denied access). People like me, what have great difficulty doing things that most people consider simple, just can't work fast enough to satisfy the idiotic time restraints.

Simply because He was, He held the position of "church father" even though some did not understand him and censured him as a Heretic.

Having held the position, he is rightly referred to as "church father".

    Kind Dr. Cassidy,

    1. I asked you about your reference to a heretic. You called that heretic a "Church Father". I asked because that would be incongruous with the theology you support, and it was a position that has not normally been touted as orthodox. In my opinion (and yes I verified that position).

    2. I asked a simple question. And I remained civil. And I was fairly prompt.

    3. I did my best to keep this exchange between you and I.

    4. It would have been so kind of you to answer civilly, even if not promptly. I hope and pray that in the future that I will remain dignified and treat you with more respect than you have treated me with.(*)

    5. Your language was beneath you and your attitude has been beneath that of a man of God ...

    6. Aren't you glad that I have remembered etiquette?(**) Else, I might have called you a liar, a fool, an ignoramus, or other such niceties. Far be it from me to address such a noble and dignified man as your self in the manner you have addressed others ...

... I pray that you are reading, understanding, and comprehending this time.

... And should your medication wear off - target someone else.

In the Name of the Lord,

    Wayne

(*) Brethern I ask that you will forgive me should I slip to his level a time or two.

(**) Is there a certain age when I will forget how to remember kindness?

    Hey Wayne,

Would calling Pelagius a "church father" be that much different than calling Judas Iscariot a disciple of Christ? Since the Bible calls Judas a disciple of Christ then maybe you should cut "kind Dr. Cassidy" a little slack.

No (for the 4th time) USB/4 calls Pelagius a Church Father.
And you were answered. 4 times.
No, you didn't. In fact you did exactly the opposite. You said, in your PM to me, "Now it is time to take you public ... and remove your doubts." Then you put me on "IGNORE" so you couldn't see my reply where I, once again, gave you the same information you had been given 3 times before.
    I did. 4 times.
I have never treated you with anything other than respect, whether or not you deserve that respect is another matter.
I am so sorry that providing what you asked for, the cite from USB/4, has you so upset that you think it is beneath me to answer your question. And I am truly sorry that my attitude of answering the question you asked has you so livid.
Do you really think you are fooling anybody with this vicious tirade?

I read, understood, and comprehended the last time. I also answered you. 4 times.

Please don't drag the Lord's Name into your vicious slander and hate-speech.

    Kind Doctor Cassidy,

Would you kindly tell me what I did to you to cause you such mental anguish? So, that I may apologize.

I did not ask YOU about a heretic in order to set you off. And I doubt that this is about your belief or lack of belief relating to a heretic.

In the Name of Our Lord,

    Wayne

    El,
Give it up... no one is getting anywhere concerning Pelagius on this thread because of his "title" ... who cares? Be concerned about what he taught and the consequences of what he taught... not on a silly title..

ESV 1 Timothy 6:4 he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions,

I don't have any mental anguish. This is just another personal attack from you.
What you may do is read what I posted, admit you were wrong, and drop it. Your obsession with both me and this stupid subject is unhealthy.
It has nothing at all to do with a heretic. It has to do with UBS citing Pelagius as a Church Father which you can't seem to accept. UBS does exactly that. Get over it. Time to move on with your life.
