What English Bible version is the
    best for a pew Bible?

Answer this as if the choice were up
    to you.

What version of the Bible is used
as the pew Bible of your church?

We don't have pew Bibles, although the new ESV pew bible is the finest I have seen. I am ordering 24 for our youth ministry.

If your church has Scripture reading (i.e. weekly lectionary readings) then it makes sense to use pew Bibles that match the version used for those readings.

I teach and preach from the KJV so our pew bibles are KJV.

We have NASB95s since that is what I preach out of. I think it is important for the pew Bible to be whatever the pastor uses.

NASB, 1995. It is very literal, and unlike previous NAS editions, it gets rid of the silly "thees' and "thous." If they make a new edition, they should use 2nd person singular you and 2nd person plural y'all.

    "Ya'll" is singular.

    "All ya'll" is plural.

Not in Texas. Ya'll is always plural here. Well, sometimes ya'll is a 'not-all-inclusive' plural, and all o' y'all is the all-inclusive form. The English language, when spoken right, can be rather complex.

The KJV is the best pew Bible but I feel that if you don't provide pew Bibles the people will be more likely to carry their own Bible. That is my point of view .

First of all, no need to be snippy. Second, what if you have people who visit who forgot their Bibles, don't use the version you use, don't own a Bible, etc.? When you have pew Bibles, you can tell them to turn to page so and so and save some time, and it helps them find Bible books and passages they would not otherwise look up, teaching them where the books of the Bible are.
