just heard today that in a recent interview in GQ, he stated that men should look to women to be their partners in life and in the bedroom, NOT other men, and that those practicing Homosexual lifestyles, along with those holding to greedy, conventing, liars, adulters etc will NOT inheriit the Kingdom of God, that we all must place faith in jesus to change our lives around...

Glad, the lesbian/gat.Transgender group requesting A/E to take them off the network, as they promote "false christianity, and hate mongering!"

I say thank God someone in public scene doing that!

Great! do you have a link?

Now this would be interesting. Duck Dynasty is very highly rated--I doubt they'd pull the show. However, if they did, what do think the reaction might be from DD fans if A/E caved to the GLBTQXYZ folks?

    Indeed.

Found one to "Pravda West" -- Los Angeles Times: GLAAD slams 'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson for 'vile' remarks

Nah, you're right. Too many sponsors like 'em. They ain't goin' nowhere 'til they want to.

    And ditto. Yeshua1

It astounds me sometimes to see the shallowness of heart and lack of depth of tolerance on the part of the so-called 'gay' community. People are surprised that Phil Robertson wouldn't necessarily walk in lock-step with the skewed notion that it's okay to be gay? You're kidding, right? Headlines on 'Yahoo' is that Phil Robertson 'spewed' anti-gay remarks. He didn't 'spew' ANYTHING; he was asked and he answered.

Phil Robertson was suspended today for his comments about homosexuality in an interview for GQ.

Folks, we're seeing the cultural shift solidify and begin to remove those who speak out against immorality. We are months from a major ruling about polygamy on the national level. We are within two years of seeing gay marriage legalized in all states. We are within years of seeing pastors and others arrested for stating biblical fact.

Why aren't the liars, covetous, adulterors, and drunkards upset about what he said? This world is infatuated and mesmerized with h*m*s**uality.

I certainly hope that Phil doesn't apologize for this under pressure. What I would REALLY like to see is the rest of that family tell A&E that they are getting the boot, the series is over and stand for truth here. :)

So A&E can profit from all those Christians watching the show, but he can't speak of his values and what God's word says off the show in a venue that has nothing to do with the show?

They should all go on hiatus and say bye bye A&E.

What does GLAD stand for? I only recently learned (from this board) what Duck Dynasty was. LOL
When I first saw this, I thought you meant the trash bag people...don't get mad, get glad! Hopefully I didn't just inadvertently make a really bad catch phrase for a group that includes very weird things. I think I can figure out the G and the L, maybe the A stands for "and," but for the life of me, what on earth is the D for?! I am so not about to type it into a search and see what pops up...

And now he's been suspended ...

A&E needs to reinstate Phil ASAP. He has done nothing but express the opinion of the vast majority of his fans. Palin is right, they're "taking on" those who like the show and the family Robertson.

Hey, we agree. However, I may be the only white man in America who has never seen the show.

I will suffer reproach with this brother.

I've never seen the show. I generally don't get interested in things that a majority of folks like.

I think there probably were quite a few areas in which the slave owners treated the slaves like true members of their families...until other folks showed up.

He said nothing really that Scripture hasn't already said.

I wonder if he knows what Scripture says about the fate of false teachers?

In the dying, lost world it is. One can't argue it stirred up "controversy."

    con·tro·ver·sy
    ˈkäntrəˌvərsē/
    noun
    noun: controversy; plural noun: controversies

    1.
disagreement, typically when prolonged, public, and heated.
