So when the investigaters pay for information that makes a terror threat "phony"?

When the investigaters infiltrate a terrorist operation that makes a terror threat "phony"?

    Agreed!

My prime candidates are Liberal Socialist Progressives taking advantage of mass hysteria to remove what little Constitutional Gurantees of freedom we have left as Americans.

Ever hear of "Wag The Dog"?

Well, this is something the Liberal Media and the obama Regime is *very* good at...

The hoopla is distraction and it is having the desired effect of scaring the American People into giving up Constitutionally Protected Freedom for a little temporary "safety"

To build a Free "Jerusalem" you need a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other!

The ONLY real Homeland Security is an armed Citizenry as it protects fro enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC!

The PRIMARY threat is from WITHIN!!

From our own Inside the Beltway and "elected" leadership.

The links you provided say the leader was Narseal Batiste, not the paid informants. The informants were posing as al-Qaeda members. The article also says the informants had infiltrated the gang and had been working the case for over a year. Shouldn't they get paid?

The FBI had recordings of each member of the group swearing allegiance to al-Qaeda and vowing to take down the Sears Tower. Now it certainly appears that these guys were dreamers but at a minimum they are conspiring to attack the United States. You can't just ignore that.

This seems to be merely a case of the FBI running a sting operation way past its freshness date.

Thank you for your efforts, poncho, even if those seduced by the neocons, neolibs, and security extremists refuse to open their eyes to how governments operate to keep people in a state of fear so that they will look to the government to save them or else "the Barrow gang will get you little man"(or to bring it up to date - "al Qaeda will get you little man").

    A couple of points:

    1. I don't refuse to open my eyes, on the contrary, I'm willing to look. It's just that I haven't seen anything convincing.

    2. I don't look to the government to save me.

    3. OP asked for examples of terror threats that didn't involve informants and I answered with an example.

That's a good question. Maybe one day we will have a definitive answer as to who was behind it. But I doubt we will just like I doubt we will ever know definitively who was behind the assassination of President Kennedy.

"If this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies..." — Sharron Angle

So do you think that Sharron Angle needs to be investigated by the FBI?

Ok - so now I have some sort of idea of how far out there you really are.

Perhaps one of your CT sites can help you out.

Then you can parrot that line - along with all the others that you have swallowed.

    No.

Has she advocated "a full ground war against the United States" ? [as the Liberty City Seven did?]

Has she "plotted to blow up the Sears Tower and the FBI building in Miami"?

How about taking part in a ceremony in which she "swears allegiance to al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden."

Are you "in a state of fear"?

I recommend Psalms 27:1 for a 1 verse lesson on fear.

Poncho, KenH, etal think that others that wish to implement simple safeguards against possible terrorists attacks live in fear.

While they believe that the US government may have destroyed the World Trade Center to keep us in line !!!!

On the nutjob scale that is a perfect 10 !!!

Their fear of the government is way beyond anyone's fear of terrorists.

What makes it all so laughable is that they never admit to "fear" themselves, , yet think everyone else is in a "state of fear".

    More CT arrogance.

    CT is nothing but fear.

Based on nothing more than the absence of evidence...

Because the government covered it up - don't you know?

What more proof does one need than the absence of proof?

    Does CT = Conspiracy Theory?

It's been my experience that CT's like to present their 'proof' by quoting other CT's. Thus, so-and-so writes a book where he quotes another book written by another CTer. That is 'proof' in their eyes.

It's been my experience that coincidence theorists are quick to lump any and all well documented evidence which there is alot of BTW in with a few wild claims made by misinformation artists in order to discredit all of it.

This is called poisoning the well.

A totally dishonest means of debate. Are you gonna turn out to be another one of these dishonest debaters like Carpro, Targus and Niteshift? It's begining to look that way.
