    Chocolates can backfire. When I was in the eighth grade, I bought a box of chocolates for someone. Later I asked her if she liked them. She said, "NO!" I thought she was being mean.

    The next year, I bought the same chocolates for myself. Those things were nasty. It took me a year to figure out that she was being truthful, she wasn't being mean. She was being very truthful. I have learned that you don't buy the real cheap ones. The more expensive ones taste better.

    As for the part where she asks if you think she's fat enough, you should pretend not to notice.
