NO - Jim quoted me up on the General Forum
    ______________________________________________

At least the quote was accurate and I did give proper credit.

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS. Not to worry, I don't think they got the message. The silly pictures continued anyway and even got worse. It is getting so catastrophic up there I am avoiding it altogether.

So Jim is the culprit - what do you expect:

    1. He lives in Canada!
    2. Doesn't watch sports on Sunday!
    3. Likes cold weather!
    4. Doesn't like NASCAR!

That all seems un-American to me!!

Dan - from the US - who watches sports on Sunday - hates cold weather - and can't wait for NASCAR to start up again!!

He's probly one of those "bi-linguals" too. Always suspect Jim was not whom he claimed to be. One of those "homo" sapiens, too.

Can't trust guys who grow hair to cover their face.

Next thing, he'll say something nice about CATS (the musical, of course).

Did someone mention Andrew lloyd Webber and CATS?

Going past 22 years in solid production now and it is booked well into 2004 around the world.

    Cheers,

    Jim

This is my regular chat site now. No stupid pictures here. I can tolerate the CATastrophic maligning of the cat species.........meow..now wot can be friendlier than that?

I have a little kitten that lies at my bedside every night and purrs when my arm slips down the side.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Currently we have six cats - the previous four all lived to between 14 and 16 years of age. If the current group lives that long - we've probably got another 14 + years to go with the youngest one.

We used to have five dogs at one time - I guess you might say we're a glutton for punishment.

Seeing we've had both - and we loved both - if I had to choose again - knowing what I know now - I'd pick the cats - much easier to take care of.

Dan - waiting for oil slicks to show up again!!

And, of course, I would LOVE to have a kitten. Sadly, they grow up into cats. And with my allergies, it ain't happnin.

But sure love to ruffle the feathers of the ladies up in the coffee shop. [IMG]

We have a dog that acts like a cat. She's great. No leg action, no licky the face, and comes when you call her. Gets in her crate nightly around 11am without having to be told. Potty trained, except when she gets mad. Hates the water. Doesn't jump on you. No barky, barky. Can jump up on the counters. The first time she did it I thought I was going to have a heart attack. She loves cats, especially when they run. [IMG]

These are not exactly catlike traits. The Cats Who Live With Us do not come when called, unless they have a mind to and some ulterior motive, never stay put and relish jumping on us on all occasions, usually with claws out.

Good morning fellow travellers. This pilgrim woke to snow, cold and darkness, but the quiet warmth of God's enduring love.

    God bless everyone.

I miss the snow and the cold. But, that's a memory from a child's mind. I wasn't old enough to shovel the snow or start the car 30 mins before you had to leave, scraping the windows until your fingers bled. I didn't have to walk 7 miles, uphill in the snow everyday to get to school, even in the summer. Did I miss anything?

Hey, I didn't do all that either, but then, gowing up in England, we didnt get hardly enough snow to make a snowball. Sure got an eyeopener when I came to Canada and snowbanks were higher than me along the pavement.

I start truck just a few minutes before I leave and it only takes a few minutes to remove a cover from windscreen and drive away with a clear view.

    Oh modernity..it has done wonders.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jan and I both take allergy medications daily - to counteract the effects of having six cats in the house.

When son Kelly comes to visit - within five minutes - he sounds like he has a miserable cold. This reaction is in spite of his taking allergy medications.

But - the cats are like having children - which one or ones would you get rid of - if you had to get rid of one or some.

    Difficult choice.

Dan - I'll just keep sneezing!!

    Dan,
We ran into a similar situation regarding the number of dogs one could have. The township passed a by-law limiting each house to 3 dogs. We already had 7 at the time, but got a letter saying that we would be grandfathered into the By-law...relief! Cos we didn't know how to destroy 4 dogs just like that.
Besides, the law was meant for villages. We are on 100 acres and the dogs don't run free and we have a no barking policy here.

    Cheers,

    Jim

No snow here, for which each day I'm thankful. Hard driving for me and my old rear-wheel dinosaur Mercury Grand Marquis

No pets either. Wife and I travel so much we have decided that a dog (NEVER had a cat) would not be wise. But miss the companionship.

1970-83 we had Heidi, miniature schnauzer
1984-88 we had Peeve, golden retriever
1988-99 we had Ruffian, border collie

Now my wife just has this ol' dog sitting in front of the laptop . . [IMG]
