LIVER? I can honestly say I'v never heard of that.

    I have two favorites,
1.pan pizza with pepperoni, and lots of cheese from Pizza Hut
    2. bacon and mushrooms(thin but not crispy crust) from the pizza place my brother used to work at that went out of business called Caveman Pizza.

I also like those little square pepperoni pizzas from Little Caesars in the K-Mart, I like the crispyness around the sides.

I don't really like pizza. I can eat a good white pizza, but most of the fools around here don't even know what it is.
Also, I can do a thin garlic crust from East of Chicago if they put only minimal sauce and top with banana peppers, mushrooms, and black olives.

I'm kidding about the chopped liver, btw ;)

Whenever we would have pizza when I was really little my mom would tell me we were going to have liver and onions for supper and I would cry and go to my room only to find out later it would be PIZZA! you would think that after a while I would learn... Tsk tsk

    Until Next Post, Adam

Thick crust, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and brace yourself anchovies. Yes I said anchovies. I LOVE the little salty fish on my pizza. Of course I have to order my own cause nobody else will eat it with me.

Dominoe's Thin Crust Pepperoni - like eating matzoh that FINALLY TASTES GOOD. Out on bivouac we ordered some pizza delivered and told the Lt. that it was hardtack covered with tomatoes. ;)

And for a good Jewish boy (observing the fast with Yom Kippur - Grrrrr) THANKS a lot for bringing up such a subject when I can't pick up a phone and order.

My little grand daughter likes to make "Pizza in the box"!! Ok, so it isn't as good as the Meat Lover's I can order on the phone but do we ever have fun sqwishing up the dough ... pouring that sauce on there .. making happy faces with the pepperoni! LOL

How about the cold pizza for breakfast? Come on ... some one else must do it!!!

I used to be satisfied with Pizza Hut, occasionally Dominoes would do in a pinch... then I moved to Chicago for about 11/2 yrs and was introduced to the "real deal" Uno's deep dish chicago style pizza....once I tasted that..well, all I can say is "I've seen the light!"
BTW, there is a chain restaurant out there named Uno's...NOTHING like the real thing!

Pizza Hut, the gift to all pizza lovers everywhere. I like pan pizza wiht lots of pepperoni and gooey cheese.
This weekend I'm trying out "home-made" pizza, but I want to find a way to make my own tomatoe sauce. (any ideas?? My mom's comment was "dear, I regret to inform you, it comes in a can" blech-canned pizza sauce on my homemade pizza??? Gasp! Just kidding, I just like home made better.

    Grace,

Here is my sauce recipe. Unfortunatly I can't give you a teaspoon of this, a tablespoon of that cause Im a dump it in and taste kind of cook.

Puree fresh tomatoes. If you can't get fresh then pureed canned will work.

Chop about 1/2 onion, and a couple of cloves of garlic.

Put chopped onion and garlic in a soup pot, pour in just enough olive oil so that you can easily stir the onion/garlic/olive oil mixture. Heat on Med, stiring constantly until the onions become soft. Then immeadiatly pour in the pureeed tomatoes.

Add tomatoe paste, a little sugar, oregano, basil, and a couple of bay leaves. It will take some practive to get the right combonation of the spices.

Cook on low stiring occasionally for 1-2 hours or until you achieved the desired consistancy.

The same recipe also works as a great base for spag. sauce.

    Enjoy.....Bill

    New Believer,
Thanks so much for the recipe. I'm planning on trying pizza this weekend. I know what you mean about putting it in and tasting it. That is the only way to cook. (Don't tell on me, My gramma would have a fit if she knew that I taste the cookie dough before I bake it [IMG] [IMG] )

There's a place down the shore called "Peace-a-Pizza" that has things like ham and pineapple, pesto pizza, garlic potato pizza, and (my favorite, jerk chicken pizza.

There's a brick oven place in South Philly that makes everything from scratch. Their pizza's great, although I can't remember their name.

For the best all around, it's got to be John's in Bellmawr.

I have recently discovered a BLT pizza with ranch dressing instead of the tomato sauce. It is good. I guess it's in third place.

For His Name - cold pizza for breakfast is fabulous!!!

I like cheese, and sausage, and cheese, and bacon, and cheese.... NO anchovies! No fuzzy fish on my pizza, please. No vegetables, either, except for the necessary tomato products.

We order from Domino's because they can find the house. :D At last I've found a benefit from all the current technology out there these days - we call the pizza place and they know who we are, where we are, the weird directions to the house, and they know what we ordered in the past! When they ask what we want, we can just say, "whatever we had last time!" Actually, I don't even remember anymore what the specifics of the order are...

    I've never met a pizza I didn't like. ;)
We live in the country, so there is no delivery for us. My husband doesn't really like pizza, so he will actually only eat it about twice a year. But, every chance I get, like shopping with friends or family, they let me have PIZZA! I don't really care what kind, but if I could order just for me, it would be all vegetable/w lots of cheese and very little sauce, if any. Crust doesn't matter just so long as it's not too thick.

Shouldn't this really belong on the "hobbies" thread?!?

Anyways, since Papa John's, Domino's, and Pizza Hut all offer a thin crust, I have fallen in love with it. It does not fill me up as fast as a regular crust. As far as toppings go, I've been eating alot of mushroom pizzas lately--but every now and then I'll ask for pepperoni and/or hamburger toppings.

    :D

Oh wow- this is an old thread of mine that has been resurrected. But hey- it couldn't have been on a better topic. Especially stearing away from the wine debate

We have a place here called Cici's. Do any of you have one (my friend from Arkansas said that they had one) This is a college student's dream. All you can eat for $3.99, and it's really good pizza. I even like the spinach one with alfredo sauce, but I only want one slice. Their brownies are out of this world. Sometimes you want to eat them with a spoon...
