    Non-denoms can speak for themselves, but I think it's a marketing tool in some cases.

    It's an attempt to attract folks, particularly yuppies.

    To be fair, many non-denoms are conservative and evangelical. And some are baptistic in both doctrine and practice.

    They just think the Baptist label is a marketing negative.

    Since the name is in a different language I doubt if many people would make the connection. To them it is a bunch of letters thrown together and hard to pronounce.

    In both Spanish and Mexican "Jesus" is a common first name.

    Of course he is. If you were baptized by a Catholic priest you would be Catholic. If you were baptized by a Lutheran you would be Lutheran.

    Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. :thumbs:

    Seems like somewhere I read someone say that He WAS the KJV.
