I guess the stewardess was the superstitious kind and got scared with the little boy repeatedly saying, "bye bye, plane". kinda like the ol' "you don' wan' walk unner that thar la'er, boy, less'n you don' min' no bad luck houndin' ya'll day".

pretty rude to suggest drugging the kid, though.

wouldn't want her to baby sit my grandkids.

wonder how she dealt with her kids (if she got any) when they were young ? guess she stuffed them with cough syrup.

The flight attendant should be investigated for child neglect if she in fact has children....

    IMO.. she should be fired.
Then sentenced to play the mouse at chucky cheese!!! lol

I believe the parents are suing the airline. I would too, that's plain riduculous. If she told me I have to "shut" my kid up, they would probably be taking me off the plane in cuffs.

It sounds like the stewardess made a tacky joke, that's it. There is no such thing as baby benedril.
Maybe the mother was ignoring the child, not entertaining the child enough to keep him at bay. hard to say.

I question whether the woman was asked to leave the flight since this is not a valid reason to sue. Not in my book anyway

    Something sounds fishy

You got some good points. But we'll see what happens if the mother sues. One indication is if one of the passengers who spoke out in her defense on the plane should bother to show up on her side again in court. Either way, "baby benadryl" is still a bad suggestion.

I think the lady passenger was telling the truth.

Well, there should be plenty of witnesses to the ordeal. We'll see what happens.

There are a ton of details missing from this story.

You don't turn a plane around just because a 19 MONTH old toddler is "chatty".

It often takes several minutes for the attendant to complete her "safety" speech. Was the child so distracting that he posed a danger to passengers or the flight crew? Was the child concealing a razor blade? Was he wearing a turbin? What EXACTLY was goin on which caused the pilot to make the decision to kick this lady and her kid off the plane? Pilots have the last say don't they? Did the attendant lie to him to get her way? Did the other passengers riot? Did they demand the "loud mouthed brat" (my words) be removed from the plane? And WHY OH WHY did this even make publication?

    Too many unanswered questions.

Mayhap, the mother was inexperienced and applied the diaper to the wrong end!

and on top of it, she lied and said the woman threatened the stewardess!

As it was already said... Lawsuit!

    Big time.

I agree, it appears there is much more to this incident than a mother with a chatty toddler.
According to the story, they DID NOT turn the plane around but made a stop in Houston along the way where the mother and child got off. It was unclear whether it was a scheduled stop or not. This is key
I will try to follow this story and provide an update.

I agree av1611jim, it appears there is much more to the story than what was provided. In reading this story on a different website, it does state they turned the plane around.

No fired, and then sentenced to play Dora, Barney, or Baby Bop at a theme park. That way she'll have to hear toddlers all day long AND take pictures with them. :BangHead:
