    I beg to differ...

Luke 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

Matt 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Just a note on this one the woman was speaking WOF before she was healed in case you didn't notice.

Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Well stupid me, because I quoted this scripture everytime I would have a panic attack when riding in a vehicle. All I knew was it was the inspired word of God. So I used it as a positive confession and God still honored it, because panic attacks are a thing of the past now.

Your second post is just revealing that you have ought aginst Kenneth Haggin, Gloria Copeland, Paul Crouch, Jan Crouch, Benny Hinn, John Avanzini, Morris Cerullo, Jery Savelle, Fred Price, CHarles Capps, Creflo Dollar, E.W. Kenyon, A.W. Tozer and others. Theres a few that I see through too and some of what they teach is not bibical so I won't watch their programs. But as I have stated before it a "WOW" (Words Of Want) they are speaking! :flower:

Belief is NOT THE SAME THING as possitive confession. Possitive Confessin states you can change the very reality around you by the words of your mouth BECAUSE you are a god. This is the entire foundation of the false teaching. If you are not of god status you could not speak things "INTO" existence. You CAN NOT get truth from a false teaching no matter how much you strain that nat!
Do you look at more than the verses "they" tell you to. Look at the context. Stop eating the diet of this falsehoods as it IS NOT Biblical. Just because something is IN scripture does not make it biblical according to its Context. Take Satan quoting the verses out of context to Jesus. Those scriptures were in not in context but they were in the word, does that mean because Satan quoted scripture and it came from his mouth Jesus had to obey. No.

When Jesus said to Peter, Satan get behind me. Him being the very God, did his confession alter Peter and make him Satan. Of course not.

But on the basis of my ill typing, I do retract that Jesus did not speak alot of possitive things for He did. However, it had nothing to do with Possitive Confessionism. And by that same token He spoke many negitive things about and to people as well. Also take David who is Claimed by God to be a man after Gods own heart and yet he spoke almost as much negitive as he did positive.

Do you realize that when Jesus did something miraculous that it wasn't because He "spoke" it into being but because He IS God and it CAME into being.

  First off you make the assumption she spoke this out loud.
Secondly, she was NOT "practicing" WOF but faith in Christ ALONE not in Her confession. She was practicing FAITH. Her belief was not in the fact she knew if she spoke it and acted it would be, but that she knew if she could but "touch Him" she would be made whole.

Do you even know that it was Kenneth Haggin who is called the father of the WOF movement (though not the origentator) and his heir-apprent or next in line is Kenneth Copeland and next in line is Benny Hinn. These are the main teachers that teach others 'their' beliefs.

Oh my, will you really try to get doctrine from the Proverbs?
How about we try context again, shall we?
If you will note the previous and preceeding verse give context to what the text is stating. Not that By my words death and by my words life. But context it is speaking about the good or evil that the tongue can do. It is speaking of contrast, contrast, and it is still it is about contrast and NOT about possitive or negitive confession that what proceedes from your mouth will come into existence.
My mom has severe panic attacks and I feel for you. But in the same light of truth however - though the scripture is true that we can do all things THROUGH CHRIST that strengthens us, the question is quite appearent.
Did you through possitive confession (the very power of your word) stop your panic attacks or did you claiming that promise where our strength to overcome is in Christ alone. It is either one power or the other and will never be both since one is your command to bring something to be OR Christs command that it will be. What's the difference - Who actually have the authority to do it!

Ma'am with as much respect as I can muster, you know little to almost nothing of what the WOF movement is about, how the doctrine is arrived at, nor where and what it the teaching have come from. Unfortunately you miss understand me. I do not have aught against them - I mark them as blasphemers of God and False teachers of the doctrines of demons like Paul tell us to and do so according to scripture and it is my opinion. But as a Pastor I can not allow this to spread in my church much less the church body as a cancer if I can help it.

Please, I know I have most likely offended you, and if so I appolagize for the hard feelings caused but I stand by everyword against the movement, its false doctrine, and it's blasphemis teachers. However don't take my word for it, look it up for youself and see just what kind of root, this tree you are climbing has.

I know some of you don't like this word...but the word Hersesy comes to mind. Word of Faith is heresy from the pit of Hell.

Amen, Brother Joseph Botwinick -- Preach it!

Technically speaking of course (as opposed to tradition).
That is NOT 'from the pit of Hell' but should be
'destined for the pits of Hell'.

The RCC doctrine of Satan being the CEO (chief executive officer) of hell
is also a hersesy (not to mention being in error. In fact, eternal hell
was designed for Satan as, not the warden, but the chief prisioner.

Too bad nobody could deny the recoginition of
The WOF movement as Pagan Magic.

Another problem with WOF movement is that it
removes God from His location as Lord and
Creator of the Universe to one's personal lackey.

No such thing as 'eternal' hell.
    Re 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

If yer gonna say something to "technically" correct someone, then at LEAST be true to Scripture.

    As to WoF...it is heresy, because;
    2Ti 3:12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Nothing there about prosperity, health and happiness.

That doesn't seem to agree with what Jesus said:

    March 9:47-48 (KJV1611 Edition):
And if thine eye offend thee,
pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into
the kingdom of God with one eye,
then hauing two eyes, to be cast into helfire
    :
48 Where their worme dieth not,
and the fire is not quenched.

Hellfire sounds very eternal to me.

I wish that I could find this thing I had awhile back about what the "worm" actually means, it isnt what you think it is. It has something to do with the valley of Gehenna or something like that... the garbage dump... and the worms didnt die there... it didnt have anything to do with your body... or the actual "garbage" that was being burned.

the fire not being quenched has to do with the fact that only God can put out the fire.

Mt:3:12: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

    Notice it says BURN UP??

Mt:10:28: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Here is my two-cents on what I have seen in WOF. It looks fun to stand there and yell money come to me or cancer leave my body or whatever people are yelling, but it is not biblical. The Apostle Paul tells us to by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make our request known to God. WOF would have us demand what we want and if we do not get it then we do not have enough faith. However James writes that we ask and do not have because we ask amiss wanting to fulfill our lusts with what we want. Paul followed his own advice and asked God to remove his thorn in the flesh, but he accepted God's answer of no. The bottom line is that WOF's positive confessions just are not biblical.

In his essay, Dr. Bailey quoted Mark 11:22 this way:
"And Jesus, answering, said to them, Have God's faith.

The KJV says "Have faith in God..."
The NASB says "Have faith in God.."

Dr. Bailey misquoted the Scripture to make his point. I doubt if you can find any scripture verse which says that God has faith. This undermines the WoF assertion that in creating the heavens and the earth that "God spoke faith-filled words..." (Think it was Kenneth Hagin who said this).

God doesn't have faith. God doesn't need faith. When you are Omnipotent you don't need faith. Well, there goes the basis for us humans' speaking faith-filled words just because God did. "Cause he didn't.
