    Santha,

Could you please turn off auto emojis?

I was in Madison, Wisconsin recently. My smartphone was acting up. Because I was suffering from Sleep deprivation I couldn't fix it so I called the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Their service was Laughable. They thought they were Ninja techs, but it was more like they were Sneaky Pete's, trying to tack on repair charges. When I got the bill I was Speechless. Unsure of what I should do, I Frowned.

BTW, when I was in Madison, I saw Wink Martindale.

After doing some research that the forum software doesn't provide a way to stop the auto parsing of smileys.
One way to do it is

Other option is to remove some of the smileys completely.

So you have to type in the brackets Madison to keep out the smilies. Arrgh, what a pain.

With the old software, you had to :word: to get the emoji. IOW, you had to put the smiley in with malice aforethought.

I figured another way to get around the auto compiling of emoji.
It is like what squire suggested, you will have to explicitly put a : in front of the word for the smiley to be inserted. :Geek
