I am looking for a pocket PC/PDA that will run e-sword.

I have never used a PDA, and am unfamiliar with what specs I need for e-sword... which is the one reason I want the PDA.

Does anyone here use e-sword on a PDA?
    What should I look for?

Can I get what I need for around $100?

    Thanks

I installed it on wince 2002 machine and it choked it. We have a dell axim x3 and x30 both that run it fine. The x3 is 2003 and x30 is 2003 second edition.

Don't know if that helps you or not. Not sure about getting one of those for 100, you could snoop ebay.

Since he has a 2002 version I would assume some units will run it, and I'm not sure what unit I put it on, I think it was a mobilepro 300 or what ever their ppc was called.

Hope others have some ideas, I'm sure there are others.

I'd go with second edition if you have the choice for your price, it has landscape view which is nice at times. It also works with wireless cards where I could never get the wifes to work with it. She wanted wireless so we just finished swaping units and reinstalling everything.

Olive tree works on a number of the older units like the jornada 540 series and 560 series, but they are charging for a lot of their stuff now. I think the program and a few bibles/resources are still free, but the kjv with strong's numbers used to be 30.00.

Keyboards aren't too bad on ebay, picked one up year or so ago. Got one of the Dell rigs and it works very nicely.

E-sword likes space to go for a big card  I've got a 2 gig and 300 meg left. Have three Bible programs on it though. I also have a ton of files on it as well.

When I download esword, I have to download it to my desktop, right...
Then transfer it to the axim?
What files come with the original download to the axim?
Will I have to download the extra files to a card, or will the axim hold some of them?

How much storage space is on the axim?
