Would you care to tell us why you voted the way you did?

Under no circumstance because I would no longer have total privacy. People don't understand exsactly what all could go into the chip. Just like the National ID card law that was so discreatly chunked in a tsumi relief bill. So if the goverment can slide that by us so subtil then what else would be in that chip?

I have always wholeheartedly agreed with the SDA/sabbatarian position that the Mark is sin, not literal chip (though I disagree that the Sabbath/Sunday will be the issue), and I used to argue that there would therefore be no problem with taking the smart card (that was when that was the main candidate for the mark, and before they started really talking about chips). But now, having matured some from my early days, I still believe that the mark is sin, but still would not trust any chip. Not only do I not like the idea of some foreign object like that in the flesh (which might be uncomfortable, or if placed in wrong, even cause infection, etc), but if the system has gone evil, and is enforcing a "spiritual" "mark", this chip would still be used by them to control you, and force you to do what they want, even if you are in hiding and forgoing buying and selling! Plus, it would still be a sign of alliance with the evil powers, whether or not you are committing whatever sin/renunciation of Christ they are trying to enforce.

In fact, I believe the "scorpion stings" of Rev.9 (It can be clearly shown that the scorpions out of the Bottompless pit represent the Beast power) could actually be such an implant. Notice the stinging is only done to the ungodly. This may not be the actual "mark" of sin, but it could be an implant or something that will be ultimately used by the Beast.

I have one in my truck that trips when I enter a toll booth. So I don't have to carry cash.

The crucial point would be if this chip were tied to the worship of someone other than Christ.

I would only take the chip if they give me a letter or a contract saying that the chip is definitely NOT the mark of the beast.

    RFID Chip

    :type:

    Claudia,

RFID stands for "Radio Frequency Identification Chip. It is about the size of a grain of rice, and is implanted under the skin with a hypodermic needle type device. It is used to track people and things.

It is manufactured by a compnay called the Verichip Corperation.

You can read about it on the site below.

You may find it very interesting.

    Waiting and watching,

No, I wouldn't but not because I believe it to be the mark, but because it would be a major invasion of civil liberty.

The "Mark" isn't going to be offered to Christians in this age. Christians will be at home with the Lord. And it's not as if you would have a choice. Well you would. Accept the mark now or die. Guillotines will be very popular. It's not simply a matter of buying food, or clothing.

As typical, I don't see an answer I can vote for.
    Poll creaters should:

    1. have a poll l(see a nearby non-poll Poll I started) :)
    '
    2. one should put another choice in their poll:
'None of the above', or 'don't know or don't care'

I note that we put chips in horses and dogs but not
in people??? I would accept a chip if my children wanted to
do so to keep up with me (after they become responsible
    for my affairs).
