    1) God has been, currently is, and always will be the "Rightful" Ruler. He doesn't need your say say, LadyEagle, or mine, or Satan's, or anyone else's.

    2) No, he is not. If that were true, then you would have to admit that he is currently ruling you, and if that was the case you wouldn't be a Christian.

    3) Jesus is ruling the earth now whether you admit that He is or not, LadyEagle. Your thinking is off on this. You sin quite often, as we all do. So are you admitting that Jesus doesn't rule your life and that you are not saved?

Yes, he is the Rightful Ruler, but He is not ruling the earth now.

    2) No, he is not. If that were true, then you would have to admit that he is currently ruling you, and if that was the case you wouldn't be a Christian.

I have the Holy Spirit in me, so Satan doesn't rule me.

Again, I have the Holy Spirit in me.

If Jesus was Ruling and Reigning on the Earth today, it would be a sin-free zone.

And Paul wouldn't have said to beware of Satan who goes around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. And we wouldn't have to put on the whole armor of God, because there would be no need to. There will be no reason to wear armor when Jesus comes back to Rule and Reign. I guess you don't believe He is coming back again. Sad. [IMG]

As far as I can tell from the Bible when Jesus comes back this present heavens and earth will end, so there will be no materialistic reign on this earth since it won't exist anymore.

It is my understanding that we will then live with God forever in the new heavens and earth.

    2 Peter 3:10-13 (ESV)
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.
[11] Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, [12] waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! [13] But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

You see, LE, the Bible says that we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth where righteousness will dwell. Such will not take place on this present earth - ever.

I wrote "no materialistic reign", LadyEagle - meaning, of course, a physical, earthly kingdom like that of David. You know, the kind you premillennialists teach about - falsely in my view.

    1. You are assuming that Satan had a total understanding of Whom he was dealing with.

    2. You are assuming that Satan actually had the power to do what he claimed.

My God has always, is currently, and always will be King of kings and Lord of lords.

I feel sorry for you that apparently the Being that you conceive of as God apparently has His reign restricted by His creation.

Hillclimber, your God is too small.
</font>[/QUOTE]1) Of course I am. It was a legitimate offer and the Lord did not question the offer, but rebuffed the temptation. The Bible and every scholar I've ever read agrees that the offer was genuine.

    2) He did, or the temptation would have been illegitimate

My God has always, is currently, and always will be King of kings and Lord of lords.

    Mine too

Hillclimber, your God is too small.

It is to my discredit that you feel that way. I really wish I could express my thoughts and understandings in a way that would be of value, but alas. He is plenty Big to me and He loves me, as simple and sin encumbered as I may be.

I do not believe that America will exist as it is today in 20 years. The Pre-trib Rapture of the Church is imminent--it can come at any time. There will be no peace on Earth until Jesus comes to Rule & Reign--Jesus is not ruling at the present time. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 11:15)

I believe that the "falling away/apostasia" spoken of in 2 Thess. 2 is escalating. I'm not too concerned about what America will be like 20 years from now--I'm looking forward to the Lord's coming for His Bride/Church (the Rapture), which is imminent, and it is very close. This present world is NOT going to get better and better. In 20 years, we will more than likely be reigning with Christ in His earthly Millennial Kingdom--which He will do from Jerusalem. This will be the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant. The Millennial Kingdom is not the final Kingdom. There will be a new Heaven and new Earth.(Rev.21:1-5) God is going to destroy this present world by fire (2 Peter 3:10). From what I see in the results of the poll, there are some that are not looking for the return of the Lord Jesus for His Bride/Church. Sad.

Great poll, LadyEagle--a great eye opener!!

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

    MARANATHA!

    1) Nowhere does the Bible teach "The Great Escape" as premillennialists teach.

    2) No, we won't as there is no such earthly millennial kingdom as taught by premillennialists.

    3) No, it won't, as there is no such millennial kingdom as taught by premillennialists.
