Yet they still recognise the Torah as a part of their writings.

'Allah' is the name for God that Christian Arabs use. It is believed to be a derivation of 'Al illah' ('the God) with 'ilah' being cognate with the Hebrew word 'Eloah'. Notice 'il' and 'el.' Another postulated derivation is Aramaic Allaha, which Christians also used for God.

A famous pre-Islamic Christian martyr was known as Abd'Allah-- servant of God. I have also read of other Christians going by that name before Muhammad. So if you say 'Allah is not God' you probably do not know what you are talking about. Arab-speaking Christians call God 'Allah' and so do Indonesian Christians. I call God 'Allah' when I speak Indonesian or read scripture in Indonesian.

So when the Arabs worship allah, are they worshipping the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? No. This is a vocabulary problem only. The Arab god allah is not the same as the God of Israel. The Arab god allah is Satan.

Amen, CMG! The Quran wasn't even in existence until after 600 A.D. and it is a "revelation" given to Muhammed by demons. Islam is based on worship of the moon god, not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!

    http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/moongod.htm

People need to study the real history of Islam instead of repeating the propaganda of the politically correct. The Biblical account of Abraham and Isaac on Mount Moriah has even been changed to be Abraham and Ishmael. It's all a counterfeit religion. Period.

Now, please can we get back to the OP? This thread and poll are NOT about Islam. It is about Christians and Jews. [IMG]

Jews that practice Judaism are worshipping God the Father. But they are not worshipping God the Son or God the Holy Spirit.

And since we know that no one can come to God the Father except through God the Son we know where that leaves Jews that practice Judaism, outside of Christ and not currently Heaven bound.

That is why I carefully and specifically said "the Islamic Allah" is not the God of the Bible. I've learned my lessons on this one here on the BB!

It seems that the sin of Jeroboam the son of Nebat was not in worshipping the wrong god, but in worshipping the right God the wrong way - he made a golden calf to represent the true God. All the kings of the northern kingdom were henceforth compared to this standard.

Aaron did the same - he fashioned a golden calf in Exodus 38 and proclaim here is your god who brought you out of Egypt and then announced a festival to the Lord the following day where the people sacrifice to this idol.

Jews of today are doing the same thing. Attempting to worship God (the Father) the wrong way (leaving out the Son).

According to Jesus, even a group of scribes and Pharisees that challenged him worshipped God. He quoted Isaiah:

"In vain do they worship me".

    Case closed.
