Well, enough is enough. You well know that everything in Canada is at half value, and therefore, I need double the votes just to keep pace with this lot. I need about 20 votes just to catch up. I should get 10 of those just for senior benefits.

We can actually vote for ourselves? Now you tell me!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Having lived near Chicago for a good part of my life... I think I should get to vote more than once.

I think we should vote, not to vote. I think that would make a great movie.

And I just want ya'll to know that I WILL be swayed by 'campaign promises'! And right now I'm pretty intrigued by the package Blackbird, SheEagle, and AF Guy have put together!

I can picture me riding in my chauffeur-driven limo all the way to a cabin on the beach at Oahu (no small feat in itself since my trip will originate in Texas), eating BBQ'd Pig, roast, homemade apple and cherry pies, liberally (that's a plug for Diane) applying Mary Kay skin refresheners and body lotions while my maid keeps the inside of the limo dusted and vacuumed!!! [IMG]

This just keeps getting better and better!!! [IMG]

    No that was Texas where
the dead vote. Back about a week after this
in November but back in 1960 my Grandfather
    says: "I'm mad at daddy!"
And we said: "Your daddy is dead and buried???"
    "Yes", says Grandfather, "but he
is buried in Texas and he came back from
    the dead to vote Democratic".
In 1960, Richard Nixon lost to John Kennedy,
the key states were Ill. and Texas. The
key precints were in Chicago and small
rural counties in Texas. In Chicago the
motto was: "Vote early, vote often" and folks
where paid 10$ each time they voted,
needless to say some worked all day on
    election day, only worked election
day, and got enough to survive all year long [IMG]
There was one rural county in Texas
with a population of 216. The Democratic
vote alone was 358 [IMG] Twas the dead rising
up to vote. So in 1964 (i'm doing this
off the top of my head, and my memory isn't
that good), maybe it was 1968 when Nixon
beat whomever, Nixon made sure he had
friendlys in the polling places of Chicago
and those counties in Texas. This time
Nixon won Ill. and Texas and the Election
    - the rest is history, including Watergate [IMG]

AND NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY!!

AF Guy, did Blackbird show up yet to check out those beach side huts you're offering in exchange for votes? Tell him C.J. and I want a luau and a roasted pig too!

I am anouncing today a plan for a NEW DEAL for all Baptist Board members, my fourteen points for freedom, proserity and peace will follow in the coming days and weeks. I am looking for a Great Society, with plenty of guns and butter, handed to the new generation of BB members, born in the last century, without foreign board entanglements, with malice toward none and charity toward all, because you see, we have nothing to fear but a chicken in every pot. God bless you and God bless the United States of America (and anyplace else with voting members) offer not valid in Hawaii, Rhode Island or where ever fun is restricted.

Just stopped by to see the voting. Good to see 4 or 5 who have each received about 25% of the vote. That is REALLY an accomplishment, knowing the great diversity of opinions and positions here on the BB. :D

And noted that MANY others have received votes and that is encouraging. Did not see some names on the ballot at all, but there's always next year. [IMG]

BTW, what is the prize? I know that when I received this high honor (in another dispensation) I received a special letter in the mail from Ed McMahon and Dick Clark stating that I was ALREADY a winner!

How did they know! Wow.

    OK!!!!

Blackbird has chartered three seperate cruise lines---one to the Bahama's, the other to Cancun and the other to Alaska!!!

There's a spot for every member of the board on between these three cruises---and a special note---this special is seperate from the Hawaii excersion Blackbird has offered earlier--the Hawaii trip is all booked--you'll have to get yourself on a waitin' list for that one---BUT---the cruises are all open---

To enter---just put a check by Blackbird's name!! Its simple! Its easy! And we'll have fun!!!
