    From the article:
    Ped*philes for Cash!

"You too, can be a ped*phile! Reasonable Rates!"

Stuff like this needs to be stopped!

'Dictators', 'insider trading', favoritism, inc*st, statutory r*pe, "paid ped*philia", and nepotism??

This gives all of those a bad name.

And this, supposedly in the name of God, no less. :tear:

The links to and in this post on a previously closed thread.

    http://web.gosanangelo.com/pdf/FLDSaffidavit.pdf

    http://www.myeldorado.net/graphics/BishopsList.pdf

If one is interested in this story, (and not in slinging mashed potatoes and green beans around) I suggest one check this out.

The latter two links show photos of both the warrant used to obtain access, and the actual records as released by the court.

If this group should "play it's cards right", they could very well undermine any and all law concerning marriage between one man and one woman. The flood gates were opened by a Texas Judge regarding gay marriage not that long ago. Then we have the appointment of judges on the federal level that will be determined by our next President. Freedom is on a slippery slope to depravity. :tear:

Does God allow Polygamy? I realize in the NT it says a *bishop* is to be a man of ONE wife..What about if your not a bishop? I still can't find anywhere where God does not allow polygamy. Many OT men were blessed and had more then one wife..Abraham and David for example.

    Thought?

Yep, I thought there was somewhere where that harassment happened. They were totally out of order. Any such harassment in this topic will be reported to the PTB (powers that be) at BB. By the time I got to post, the topic was gone. Canadians will be welcome to comment (even on strictly US things) as long as I support this board.

I think the difference between BC and Texas governments is that as soon as the group partially migrated to Texas, the local and Texas governments PLANNED to do something about this (they knew what they were getting) situation. The local governments are largely composed of Texas Baptists (now a separate denomination) The Texas Baptist Convention (i think?) donates money to the SBC and Missionaries to Mainstream Baptists. Anyway, the Texas Baptists don't appreciate regimentation of the SBC nor F-LDS. The law was changed allowing 14-17 year old girls to able to consent to sex -- now a female has to be 18 to consent to sex. The onus is on the male or parents who force such non-consensual girls into s*x/prostitution/whatever.

From what I understand from my CASA* worker friend it would take some 20 paid-worker YEARS to process 400+ youth through childwelfare. This was a major event in West Texas

    * CASA = ???, unpaid child-advocate system (in Oklahoma?)

So anyway, Texas did something about it. Such aberations will go to the places where they can get away with stuff.

BTW, I hear the regular LDS (Latter Day Saints, Mormons) were helping in Texas (as opposed to hindering in Utah & Arizona).

I believe the point some were trying to get across is that the laws and Constitutions of the two independent nations of the United States of America and Canada do not "cross" the 49th parallel, in your area. One does not have any specific bearing on the other for the citizens. Neither do the laws of British Columbia and the laws of the State of Texas affect one another, either, in that sense.

It is fine to be concerned with what is happening both in Texas, and British Columbia, and I am. I do believe we should all be. And 'international outrage' may well lead to some positive outcome. I hope that does happen.

But it is complete folly to suggest that either TX or BC should be subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, because those laws may better express my personal ideas and wishes. Or vice versa.

Yes there is obviously a connection between Eldorado and Bountiful, from the reports. For me as a Christian, I am concerned for those involved.

However, as a Kentuckian, I have no say, or legal interest, invested in their laws (or any of their leaders). However, should this group actually come to reside in KY, then we have a whole new 'legal' ballgame.

Let's not confute "morality" and "legality". I do not presume to suggest what you suggested, to "keep your nose out" of what is going on. Incidentally, a couple of posters said effectively the same thing in the other thread, as to being concerned.

However, another was correct, in that you do not pay any taxes or vote in the USA or TX, I believe.

That being the case, I will strongly suggest that you "keep your nose out of the courts", here, unless and/or until you actually choose to reside here. Fair enough??

    Thank you.

    I did not know this.

I'll try and remember to use symbols in the future, with such words, for this purpose.

Further articles of interest here, this time in one of Canada's highly respected National Newspapers. There are about 10 articles alone on this page from various dates, but today's articles - May 9.08, are particularly interesting.

Seems my AG is meeting with various of your US AG's to see if they can finally! do something to stop the cross-border undergound pipeline of 'sweet young thangs'.

No, it says sex outside of marriage is sin. But if one is married to more than one...well? Where is polygamy prohibited?

They aren't actually married to anyone after wife #1. Thats why they are able to get welfare, as unwed mothers. By appying for the welfare they are admitting they do not have real marriages.
Not to mention it is illegal, and should be.
And theres a problem if a christian reads the bible and can't tell you only get one wife.

That's not the question. We know that Texas law allows only one wife. I am talking scripturally...where is it prohibited? If local secular law allows plural marriage, where does the Bible disallow it?
