    You mean like heal lepers, raise people from the dead, and rise from the dead himself? I am thinking Omnipotence is not limited even by what we think is logically impossible. I think God is bigger than even that.

    Heb 6:17-18 - "So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us."

    So there. Either God is not omnipotent or omnipotence does not require that God could lie if He wanted. You get to pick. [​IMG]

    (By the way, Jesus could not have sinned.)

    I agree with Scripture and publicly repent for my ignorance of the truth. According to Scripture, you are correct, God cannot sin.

    By the way, I think this question is what eventually led me to become a Calvinist. The answer has all kinds of implications for:

    - the nature of temptation (How could Jesus' temptation be "real" when He could not have given in?)

    - the nature of free will (Since Jesus could not have sinned, did He really make free choices, or were His choices programmed in some way? If so, by what were they programmed?)

    - the nature of obedience (Since Jesus could not have sinned why is His obedience such a big deal, and why did God exalt Him for it?)

    If He did sin then we still are in ours for it took a perfect sacrifice to redeem us and if He did sin then it would be no different than those under the Law who made a sacrifice that stayed their sins from year to year.
    No!!! Jesus did not or could not sin for to do so He would have had to be led of Satan. Even though I have heard some say He had enough sin to die that is foolishness.

    One of the attributes of God is that He is incorruptible. It is impossible for God to sin, Heb. 6:18.

    Therefore, Christ could not sin.

    The only weakness Christ had as a man was physical, not spiritual or moral. He could not sin, but He could suffer, and that He did.
