I have been feeling low for quite a long season now. Sticking to doctrine has always been important for me. I am a separate from others. In the whole journey though has crept in loneliness and gloom. besides the conflicts with my non-believer father. I am 24 (m) and live with my parents.I know I am not supposed to be in gloom, but still end up being in it. I need your prayers for this.

We are all too human and can easily get discouraged. I was just reading this devotional online today, nashpd. The last paragraph in particular was especially moving to me. I hope it gives you some measure of comfort and encouragement to know that others are thinking about and praying for you.

P.S. I hadn't noticed until just a few moments ago, the prayer requests for you & your fellow countrymen. Praise God that he is giving you this wonderful word of encouragement and promise!

The way you phrased your OP immediately brought the Eccl 3 scripture to mind:
1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: .....
    4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

It is never easy to live in that season of despair, but it is often in our lowest points that we see God's power and love at work the most in our lives. I pray for your peace and comfort.

Praying for you and your family.
Depression is a feeling of gloom which sometimes makes it difficult to see the blessings: It can also be an oppression of darkness to hide the light of God's presence and purpose in our lives. I've felt it: David who wrote the Psalms felt it: so did Isaiah.... and there are others:

Depression is a feeling...... not a state of being: God is ever faithful.... and once you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life.... He will never leave you. As a child, my granddad wrote a note to 'it is better to be alone than in bad company.'

The distance is great between us.... countries and miles.... but the love of God binds you to us and we to you and as alone as you may feel: as burdened as you may be over loved ones who seem to oppose God's Word.... you have much company and prayer warriors: When the saints pray, God dispatches his angels to tend to the afflictions of those who are prayed for.

Once again, you and your family are in my prayers.

By the way, I noticed you are new and this is your first post: Welcome! WELCOME! Please stay around and get acquainted.

I can very much relate to your situation, although for me my faith isn't the main reason for my family problems. I live with my parents and am a similar age to you. We haven't got on lately because they tend to be quite uptight.

I start each day with Psalm 118:24, "This IS the day the LORD has made, I WILL be glad and rejoice in it..." He leaves no option but for me to rejoice in each day and I search for that benefit first no matter what the trial of the day.

    Cheers, and bless,

    Jim

That is a great verse Jim1999!
Psalms 118:24 we see God is asking to do this... but I cannot, but He can help us and He is the reason we can rejoice.

Look at Paul who suffered greatly, but he could rejoice ( through and because of Christ) not because of his circumstances.

Thank you for the encouraging verses. It is so encouraging and uplifting to know that it is He who watches, cares, nurtures, provides, comforts and leads.

We are filled with limitations, and He lifts us with each fall.
