Pray for Strength and Guidance

I am in need of your prayers. I have found myself in the middle of a situation that is purely church politics. Without going into specifies my stand on the issue found me at odds with the church leadership, and I have decided to leave my church. We are not leaving because of a difference of opinion, rather we are leaving because of the political maneuvering of the church.

Jeanne and I resigned our membership and offices in the church on Wed. evening. Today were were accepted as members at one of our sister churches. Most likely at our new churches Aug. business meeting I will be accepted as a Deacon, an licensed Minister.

Changing churches does not removed me from the political situation, as it is an issue in our association and I am currently the moderator of the association. Please pray that God will give me strength and guidance in dealing with this situation. I KNOW that I am following God's will in my position on this issue even though my position is the minority.

One of two things will happen, God will either make the minority into the majority, or he will allow the majority to go against His Will and suffer the consequences while those who follow His Will are blessed.

Please keep me and my family in your prayers. We need strength to weather this storm and to continue to do His work.

No not on purpose, but I just figure that it means I must be doing something right for Satan to be after me with such a vengeance.


Speaking of a tumultuous life, on Friday I was on my way to have an MRI and my cell phone rings. It is the contractor who is doing the fire repairs on our house, and she tell me that someone broke into the house the night before, cut out all the copper tubing, and flooded the basement. A first rough estimate is about $4000 in time and materials setting the work back about two weeks.
