Preachers, would you consider pre-taping a video of your funeral service, and have it played upon your arrival at your heavenly home? Hmm preaching your own funeral, very interesting.

And as ABC said in post # 7 of the linked thread

"Just stamp my coffin 'Return to Sender,' crank up some lively music, serve the food, and wear comfortable clothes at my request."

I think that would be kinda morbid. A funeral is more for those left behind. I won't care, personally, since I'll be busy at the time.

If you want to do this, why not also have your body animatronically controlled to do some fun stuff during the service...that would be a real blast...;)

actually I think that while my passing will inevitably give some a great time to celebrate, that it would be best for my family to be a sober time of reflection and memory. :)

I think this would be very unsettling for most family members and friends present, and especially disturbing to children. My grand-daughter would want grand-dad, and how could you explain it to a 3-year old?

    Right-o!

I think that would be one way to garauntee a tearful service. However, that is not my goal, and I think I can leave whatever last instructions I will have in another (more tasteful?) way.

I hope this isn't the video shown at my funeral... :tonofbricks:

I told my wife the other night I was going to do this!.. but hopefully by the time I die.. holographic programs will be prevalent... and I can just be there to comfort my loved ones... in holographic form...

I might even start out by saying, "BOO!" LOL

That would be creepy. Besides, I'm not a preacher! With that said, I'll be with Christ waiting for the resurrection so I won't care too much. Although, oddly enough, I have thought about what clothes I want to be buried in. I'm thinking my navy blue suit, light blue shirt with French cuffs and my red and blue striped tie.
