PREDESTINATION vs ELECTION

    Dear Christian Brothers,
    I would like to ask, are the scriptural terms predestination and election synonymous? If not what is the differance?

    I believe GOD predestinated and pre-elected some people such as Moses and John The Baptist for special service, while everyone else who is saved is elected by JESUS at salvation. I do NOT believe in either Calvinism nor Arminianism, which are the extreme views at the ends of the "election" spectrum.
