The lies of Clinton and Nixon pale in comparison to the lies of Obama!

Nixon lied about his knowledge of a botched burglary and was forced out of office.

Clinton lied about a sexual relation with an employee young enough to be his daughter and was impeached.

The impact of the above lies on the people and the nation were trivial.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Obama lied and lied routinely about a matter that will affect the health care of millions of Americans. The total impact will not be known for months but in excess of 4 million people have already had their medical insurance cancelled.

The consensus of opinion is that Obama lied on 24 different occasions, repeating the same mantra shown above. The last time was within days of the roll out of the Obamacare website.

The reality is that if Obama had not lied so brazenly Obamacare would never have passed.

Perhaps as obscene as the Obama lies are the exceptions he has made for the favored ones, partly as political favors but also to lesson the political impact of the obscenity called Obamacare. Mandates for corporate America, where most people receive medical insurance as an employee benefit, was delayed for one year. However, it appears that those who receive their insurance from their employer are already having that insurance cancelled.

    President Obama lied to us.

    It wasn’t a white lie. It wasn’t a fib. It wasn’t a half truth. It was a bold-faced lie.

“No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise,” President Obama told the American Medical Association in 2009. “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

That statement turned out to be a lie. Period.

Obama lies about healthcare lie at OFA gathering

    November 5, 2013

While speaking to a group of starry-eyed followers at an Organizing for Action health care summit on Monday, President Obama rewrote history, adding a modifier to his Obamacare promise that never existed.

For years, Obama repeatedly told Americans they could keep their health plan if they liked it -- period.

But that message got a modifier on Monday.

"Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed," the president said. "So we wrote into the Affordable Care Act, you're grandfathered in on that plan. But if the insurance company changes it, then what we're saying is they've got to change it to a higher standard."

But that is not what the president said.

"If you like your healthcare plan, you'll be able to keep your healthcare plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what," he told the American Health Association in 2009.

Obama repeated that line multiple times.

I suppose from an apolitical stance, one could give understand the election of 2008. The economy had tanked, and the Republican nominee was terrible. However, the American people had four years to observe Obama, and still voted for him, and not by a slim margin. Of course, Romney did not help the situation, but still, it says more about Americans than Obama.

Kentucky is always looked at as the bottom of the chain when it comes to smarts, yet Obama was defeated 61-37. Rhode Island is way up there in intellect and Obama won 62-35.

We need a clearer definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors" in the impeachment clause. Perjury is one of them, as Clinton learned. It was not the sex, it was the lying. Same with Nixon, it was not the burglary, it was the lying and obstruction of justice.

If the man hadn't lied from the beginning, about everything, we wouldn't be where we are today, because no one would have given him the time of day, much less a vote to nominate the jerk for Great Pretender.

The lies of presidents don't bother me nearly as much as the acts of lawlessness and betrayal their lies enable.

    See THIS.

I agree with some of what Roberts says, some I will have to look further. I have always believed that the no-fly zones over Iraq were ill advised and perhaps illegally. I am generally opposed to any military action without a Declaration of War by Congress. Of course if Congress is spineless it would probably mean nothing.

Once the troops were in Iraq i supported the troops. However, results show that a lot of young men died and were severely injured in Iraq for nothing. As for Afghanistan I don't know. Based on what I believe the initial attack was justified. However, we should have left immediately. Again a lot of young men are still dying or being severely injured in Afghanistan for nothing.

Since WWII the federal government has taken more and more of our freedoms. Obamacare is perhaps the worst example yet. Dr Ben Carson is one of the few people who have pointed out that Obamacare is a massive destruction of our liberty.

We all consent to this kind of tyranny by playing the divide and conquer game aka the left vs right paradigm.

So long as we keep arguing amongst ourselves about who's less evil we're only going to get more evil.

Recent history should make that pretty clear to anyone paying attention.

My great grand dad used to say "I'd rather have a thief in my house than a liar, you can watch a thief". But now our house (govt) is full of thieving liars. One side is no better than the other. We believe the lies "our side" tells and reject the lies the "other side" tells.

Petty partisanship is going to be our end. Imho, we shouldn't be arguing about which president is the biggest liar we should be having a debate about what we can do to change the conditions that make all these thieving liars believe they are unaccountable and above the law.

Then there will always be those who seek to exploit divisions for their own benefit. Knowing this is half the battle.

Washington Times: Iraq really did have weapons of mass destruction, new witnesses say
Before you go off half-cocked, as always, let me remind you Hussein kept his proclivities for domestic violence well hidden before and during the Iran-Iraq War, also known as the First Persian Gulf War. No one in the Reagan administration knew who and what Hussein really was, but once Iran retreated, it became apparent. The only choice, other than doing what they did -- i.e., leaving the weapons in the hands of a murderous dictator -- was to go in militarily and take them back. Was Reagan wrong for giving a supposed ally such weapons? Well, history showed that he was, but how was he to know that in 1981, when he decided to continue Carter's policy of supplying Hussein, based on the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" philosophy?

Bravo, a Declaration of War is what the Constitution says. Imagine for a moment, if the United States had sought a declaration for every conflict since WW2 (the last time we declared war), how many of the conflicts would we have not gotten ourselves involved in?

As everyone on this board can certify, I am no George Bush fan, either one. I believe he compromised way too much with liberals. He himself (both of them) were moderates. He spent way too much money and ran up the debt as others have.

However, for you to equate the honesty of George Bush (second one) to that of Obama is way out of line. George Bush believed that there were weapons of mass destruction based on intelligence reports. George Bush was not an overt liar. Obama is. He will lie looking straight into the camera without batting an eyelash. Big difference in character. Obama is the biggest liar in American history. Even Nixon had the character to resign. Clinton at least had the character to admit he had lied. Honesty and moral fortitude have very little to do with the way one governs.

Lying or not lying does not follow political theory.

How so? Both characteristics have everything to do with how one governs!

I think it was Jay Leno who said "How did we know Saddam had weapons of mass destruction? Because we kept the receipts".

Carter's policy? Carter didn't have a foreign policy it was the Tri Lateral's foreign policy that Carter was pursuing. What is the Tri Lateral's foreign policy?

To create a "new global economic order" and how do I know this? One of the founders of the Tri Laterals told me. Matter of fact he's been telling you the same thing for over month now in my signature line, and no I'm not talking about John Adams.
