    :confused: My Printer has some trouble.It is a Lexmark x6100 series.It says "Hardware error 0505"Could Somebody help?(Don't Say To clean the Metal rod,I tried that already and it didn't work!) :confused:

    Have you shut down the computer, turned off power to the printer and started up again?

    Be sure the wire from puter to printer is plugged in.

    Be sure power is on on the printer.

    Kick the cat???? won't help the printer but might make you feel better :thumbs:

    Buy a Canon? I can't abide Lexmark.

    I use a Lexmark X1185 & have you gone to their website for troubleshooting? Again as in yur last post about the whole computer being real slow ya don't give much to go on!!

    I saw this last night but didn't post. I woke up this morning and decidied to post the most obivious (to me).

    Uninstall the drivers for your printer, then download and install the latest drivers for it.

    Some printers have a clear plastic strip with very small vertical lines on it. (The printer uses this to know where the print head is)If you see it carefully clean it.
    This may not be your problem but won't hurt to clean it.
