    I am quite sure that kind of deviant behavior is quite normal in liberal states like New York. I, therefore, understand why you can't see this as being strange.

    Remember ~~ it was normal, standard behavior for men to kiss men on the lips in the Soviet Union. It is normal, standard behavior for men to hold hands in the Middle East, India. How many of you have picked up a child and blown air against his or her stomach, the child breaking up in laughter? What is culturally acceptable in the east might appear strange in the west. In the final analysis, it is the media that looks for the sensational aspect.

    It is a traditional way to express delight in a pet. Pick it up, look it in the eyes, tell it how cute it is, and give it a peck on the tummy. Obviously, most of the pets that are greeted that way are smaller than a 5-year-old boy.
