A new Quote feature has been rolled out
Supports multi thread/post quote
Supports select and quote
Available next to the reply button
@Darrell C Thanks for the suggestion!
Okay, now I get it, lol.
I saw that. I am actually taking about a feature in the response page itself, rather than prior to quoting/replying. But appreciate that as well, Santha.
Sure, here are some screenshots.
This lets a member to go to different threads and highlight quotes and batch it up and then insert them all to a response as needed.
Okay, just trying this out, and though I hit multi-quote in another thread, it is not giving me an option to use it here.
Perhaps it only works in the same thread?
But back to my original request, if you hit reply, notice the prompts at the top. From the top left, the third through fourth prompts are to insert various tags. Can you add a function that will say "Insert Quote Tags." The ones that are there are "Comment," "H," and "Table." A prompt for quote tags is what I am after, as when I do replies I have to at this time insert the code manually. While the "Reply" function is awesome, if you try to quote the original quote in the post (what the post in view is quoting and responding to), it will not give you an option to either quote or reply.
On my own forums it is just a matter of going to the site's source and inserting the function, so I would think this would be easy enough to accomplish, so if you can do this, it will be greatly appreciated.
And I appreciate the time you took on this post, Santha.
Please look closely on the post, I have quoted you from another thread.
So that part works, I will look into your request.
When you reply to a post you click on the Reply button. Then, in between the Media and Drafts icon on the top row of icons is the Insert icon.
Click on that.
Then Click on the Quotes icon.
You can now cut and paste the bracketed Quote(s) functions to customize your response.
Just trying this out.
Hey thanks ITL.
