Harding also presided over one of the, if not THE, most corrupt presidential administrations ever.

We have had 4 Baptist presidents and none of them are or were worth a hoot.

"The fundamental basis of this nation's law was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul. I don't think we emphasize that enough these days. If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in the right for anybody except the state."

    Harry S. Truman

I disagree with you on one president, Truman. He did an amazingly good job for someone who was kept totally in the dark as VP. He will go down in history, IMHO, in the top 25% of presidents.

I'm glad I'm not Truman in that I would hate to have been in his shoes when the "Mr. President, so do we go ahead an drop nuclear bombs on Japan then?"

It had to have been a gut-wrenching decision. Sure, the # of lives in 2 nuclear bomb drops vs an island invasion of the Japanese homeland. Or, 100,000 lives vs 1,000,000 lives. Had to have been awful. But that's what a President does.
