Fatimah Ali: We need Obama, not 4 more years of George Bush

    By Fatimah Ali
    Philadelphia Daily News

AMERICA is on the brink of a long, harsh and bitterly cold winter, with a looming recession that the GOP won't even admit to.

The policies of the current White House have brutalized our economy, yet the wealthiest think that everything is fine.

Rich Republicans just don't understand that millions are suffering. But many of their working class do, and they're beginning to abandon their own party.

    snip

If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!

oh that is so funny, isn't Obama a millionaire?

    1. scare tactics
2.hopelessness? Hope isn't found in a politican, the president, or any man. But in Christ alone. If people want hope, Christ is the only place to find it.

When Obama loses there will be all kind of claims that will make past elections look like childs play.

    1. Racism
    2. Intimidation
    3. Election Stealing
    4. Class Warfare

The rest would be false statements but Racism is a fact. It is expected when the first African American gets this close to the White House but is very much out there just the same.

By the way, Racism goes both ways. For every Black that is voting for Obama just because he is black and for every white person who will not vote for Obama because he is black... It's all the same...

His net worth is chump change to a person with as much money as McCain. Of course, McCain married well ... the 2nd time. Kind of like Jackie Kennedy's line:

There are those people who will not vote for Obama simply because of our culture's definition of "black," he is black. Europeans are right about some Americans, they are too prejudice to vote for a black person. Of course, most of these folk will never admit that fact.

Regardless of who wins I surely hope the next president does a great job and begins to clean up the mess that they will inherit.

    McCain's net worth:
    Net Worth: $40.4 million

So Obama is a pauper compared to McCain.

    More on Net Worth

It is very funny seeing the Republicians trying to play the "Obama is a rich Democrat" card. Politicians, on both sides, often appear as thinking the average American is stupid.

A million dollars isn't what it used to be. Have you seen or read the book, "The Millionaire Next Door"?

It is instructive to note that the author, in addition to being a fearmonger, is black and has a muslim name.

I can't tell if she is threatening, promising or warning.

    CTB says...

There are those people who will not vote for Obama simply because of our culture's definition of "black," he is black. Europeans are right about some Americans, they are too prejudice to vote for a black person. Of course, most of these folk will never admit that fact.

And there are some who will vote for him simply because he is black. It appears to be the majority of his supporters, hence the reason they keep bringing his race up. I don't expect the average Obama supporter to be very informed, by my experience. They usually speak in talking points, and rarely put up a good answer to a challenge. Except to call his critics "racists".

Race is made to be bigger than what it actually is. And then we have folks like Sharpton to keep what little bit is left alive.

I have my doubts about claims of what "Europeans" believe about Americans. And any thoughts you have on it are most likely a result of what ever anecdotal information you think you have.

Sharpton says publicly what many American's feel inside. Those American's are both black and white. The problem is more than some one speaking these feelings out loud. The problem is we still have American's with those feelings inside.

No sharpton says what he can stir up in others. And it is not helpful.

This whole article thing is just too funny. Was there a race/class war in the streets of America during the great depression? No, everyday Americans took care of those less fortunate than they were by sharing what little they had. The church rallied to the occassion and established soup lines etc and served all people regardless of race. This article is simply fearmongering.:BangHead:

Anecodotal in the sense that they were speaking to me. Tell you what, come over to Prague while I am there this fall and I will introduce you to students and others from all over Central and Eastern Europe. You can talk to them and decide for yourself. I'll even take you out to dinner. Even buy you expresso and dessert. It could be great fun.

Well as money goes I'm pretty much "Poor as a Church Mouse" But I don't believe that all of the reason is Bushes fault and who ever is elected president won't be able to do much about it .
But I trust myself and I truly believe that John McCain is who this world needs to be elected as President of United States. Just as I did when Bush won but most didn't until 9-11 and I feel this country was more united as I've ever seen before. And I don't think anyone but Bush could have handled the county at that time. I still remember that time and I am PROUD to say I VOTED for BUSH. and I'm just as PROUD to say I'm Voting for John McCain even if I'm the only one.

My father is a Democrat and he's so ashamed he's not even voting and this is a man who is 77 years old and has voted in every election he's been legal to vote in.

Cool then we can jump a jet and fly to Kenya, Nigeria, or Senegal and talk to folks there and get the exact opposite view of Americans. We could go to eat at the Carnivore in Nairobi, Kenya and have all kinds of roasted wild game meats! I really like the zebra. Then where shall we go next?

Well in exchange you come to Florida. A vacation spot for the world. You can meet all the Europeans you like and see if you get the same story. I have yet to here such myself. I will even treat you to Disney World.

In fact there are a great many fo them that go to school here. Many are nannys. And all of them are quite candid.
