When God created Adam and his wife, Eve, the human race was began. (Gen. 1-3) Then we see that the only survivors of the world wide flood were Noah, his wife, their sons and their wives, eight people out of all the human race. (Gen. 6-8) It is very clear that there is only one race in the world at this time, it is known as the Human Race and, by logical extension, every man woman and child on the face of the Earth are descendants of Adam and his wife and even closer in time, we are the descendants of Noah and his wife. Further applied logic finds that, because of this, there is only one race of people in all of the world, the Human Race.

Because of the characteristics God gave His most favored creation, as we began to spread over the Earth, it appears that we began to adapt to the different prevailing conditions in the different regions of our home. This resulted in differing appearances that because of, in some cases, a lack of the study of God's Word and other cases because of the lack of the availability of the Word, we now have what we term, Racial Prejudice. This, Racial Prejudice has to be the dumbest ideology in all of the world.

Some, today, will have us to believe that this is the cause for the slave trade of the past and of the present but that is not true. The nation of Sudan has become two countries, North Sudan and South Sudan and one of the resulting problems that led to this was Slavery. Negro men attacked and murdered negro men and sold their wives and children into slavery. In this case the difference is religion, the murders were Islamic and the murdered were Christians. And if we listen to the rhetoric, Islam is the religion of peace!

In the US we run around with the idea that the Negro Slave problem was all ours, also not true. On the Documentary of the USS Constitution and the Africa Corps that ended it's mission with the advent of our Civil War, it is documented that less than one sixth of the slaves that were shipped across the Atlantic, were to this nation to be sold. What is clearly illustrated by study is the slavery that has been documented through-out the ages, is the ability of men to hate one another and to misuse others. The truth of the matter is that it matters not who the slave owner is, Slavery, in it's modern day form is wrong.

We, the people of the world need to grow up and assume the responsibility God has imparted to us. We are loved by God, saved and lost men and it is our duty (Matt. 28:18b-20) to love all men in the same manor that God loves us. We can never accomplish this mission given us in the last verses of Matthew without discarding the stupid idea that colors and features separate us into different races and remember that God began this with one father, Adam, and one mother.

    The Using Of Other People!

Modern day American's are slaves to the lending institutions and many pay dearly every day! Families fall by the wayside as momma has to work to help pay bills and the kids are left to their own devices.

Back in the good 'ole days someone accused of a crime could be taken to the dungeon and tortured until they confessed. Most did even if innocent! Today, the same practice continues only under the heading of "Plea Bargain".

Plea bargains go like this: "If we prosecute you for murder you'll go away for life! If you plea to a lesser charge you'll get 13 to 15 years for man-slaughter." If there isn't enough evidence to begin with then why prosecute at all? It's the using of another. Prosecutions help the DA get re-elected.

No matter how you look at it slavery comes in many shapes and sizes. We're all slaves to sin and sin is the cause of all slavery!

Most every form of slavery is claimed to be the result of economics but it's all about abuse of power and authority. The economics is a side bar to justify.

For some reason what has come to my mind at this moment is Herodias and how she used the system of revenge John. Don't you know that she's still screaming in hell? To this very day. Don't you know she wishes she had taken another course?

Got a little off track there "th1bill". Sorry. Personally, I'll be so glad when this burden/slavery to sin is over!

It's interesting to me how so many people in modern day America still run around claiming victimization due to slavery here in our own country of two hundred years ago. Give me a break!

...okay, back to the topic at hand.

    Amen, Amen, Amen--Post #1.

Indeed, we have black churches and white churches--separate, but equal(???). We have two constitutions in this country: the original, written by the founding fathers, mostly deists/humanists(another interesting discussion); the other written by whites who firmly believe they are supreme.

We are not born racists, but we soon become such from our racist home/church environment--good proof of our total depravity. Racism along with freemasonry have permeated the ranks, even among "sound" churches. We are "sound" asleep; and have need of nothing.

How does one defend two constitutions?

"The mystery of iniquity is already working. Repent and do the first works."

Or is because of styles of worship?

and far as slaverly - it wasnt limted to race - blacks had black slaves - even in our U.S.!

Do a through study of history and there were all kinds of excuses (not reasons) for slaverly.

I believe the point is about racism--which is an absurd notion from the start--there is no such thing as a pure race. A lot of this supremacy stuff goes back to Darwin and the evolutionary mindset--whites are more evolved than blacks and yellows.

We have a status quo on a world wide basis. We have a caste system of the ones who have and the ones who have not. "Shut up, sit down and do not rock the boat" or you will be severely ostrasized(head left in the sand with concrete around the neck).

All prejudice is sin. We are all guilty. We have no excuse. Jesus died for that sin too.

We are not willing to make a serious introspection? ( An examination of one's self looking into a mirror not fashioned by Narcissus).

    Peace,

I always find these kind of discussions somewhat sad and in fact prejudiced, as the very thing they claim to be dealing with exposes personal prejudices .

Here is the reason. Some try and claim that Adam and Eve were created white. I doubt you ever saw a black, Chinese, red skin, or pigmy looking Adam or Eve in a picture and then to make everything good claim that the different looks people have come from "adaptation to the different prevailing conditions in the different regions."
That is prejudice in itself. We white people just cannot have a pair of blacks, I mean really black for the first created pair so we come up with some factious story about how people were changed at the Tower of babble or that people simply changed by adaptation to climate or region. The thing is no one is adapting today which prove that is incorrect and to think that people were all white at the tower and suddenly became black, slant eye, pigmy or what ever else is a little much and is simply another way to hold on to prejudice while we are stroking ourselves thinking we doing good.

God is a God of order and most likely what happened at creation is that one was Light in skin color, one was dark, one had more of a round shaped eyes and the other a more slanted eyes and as they had children they paired up with like looking people even as we do today. In other words God put all the different looking people (races) in the first pairs gene pool.
Just like today it would be logical to hold that like looks attracts like looks and as the human race grew in size the different races became more and more pronounced. Then at the Tower when God confused the languages He would have most likely have caused the different languages to be set on people of like outward appearance and the nations were born as they separated.
So I certainly do agree that we need to work on our prejudices.

Maybe i've been sheltered my whole life. Doubt it though. I've lived in big cities and out in the middle of nowhere (literally). I've lived in 4 different states. Been to college in Oklahoma City, and near Little Rock, AR. My point is, I've been around. And it seems to me that racism is nearly dead, and only being kept alive by two groups of people:

    1. People who want money for nothing
    2. People who are afraid of being called a racist and kowtow to the first group

In the Army, we have a saying, "The only color I see is green". And it's true, for the most part. After you've been in battle with a person, it doesn't matter wht color their skin is.

Now, each of us have a little bit of "racism" inbred into us. I put "racism" in quotes because that's not what it really is, but is what it is called. It's actually a "color preference". As has been stated in a previous post, like looks attract like looks. This is natural. What happens is because of society, this natural tendency grows and becomes slightly racist.

Even myself, I have caught myself having slightly racist thoughts/tendencies, and I am probably the least racist person I know. For instance, when I was home on R&R, my wife was kind enough to schedule me a massage at a beauty salon. When I got there, I was greeted by a woman who said that she would be my masseus for the day. And she was black. I thought, "I've never had a massage from a black person before." But, immediately, I thought, "Wow. That was racist."

Basically, my entire point is that racism, for the most part, is being kept alive by the people who are trying the hardest to not be racist. Treat everyone the same (and I mean the same. Don't treat other colors better to not appear racist), and everything will be ok. Don't be nervous around someone of another color, wondering if they'll think you're racist. That only gives credence to those who claim that racism still exists. Get over it, and move on is the best thing we can do.

When you cut a white man and a black man, they'll both bleed the same color.

True, but so does a dog or hog so I am not sure that is any great proof.

    Sapper,
Great post! Free, we are both from Texas but your prejudice is showing. We, all of us, do have our preferences, even myself. During my days on stage, the most beautiful woman that ever pursued me was an immagrant Nigerian. Her beauty was all natural and her color was coal black but there was exactly one reason I would not even date the lady and I explaine it to her just as I do here.

I knew that if anyone called one of my kids a nigger that I would do my best to beat them to death. I grew up in the Wards of Houston and usually was the only honky in the neighborhood. I was treated differently than all of my friends by the cops and the store owners, and I still am! This is very wrong and many of my brothers are black, brown, yellow and red and individuals must be judged but they must be judged on their own merrit!

Some of you here have the right heart for this matter and a few of you are going to have a problem in the Spirit Realm. Sapper, the day I lay on the ground and couldn't get up it did not offend me at all that the big man that carried me off the line to see Doc was wearing a green uniform. The sdadness of the matter comes with our return to Texas. He has decided he is black and that living in Conroe, Texas keeps him from sitting on the porch and sipping ice tea and just remembering, he fears the KKK. We were tight in Nam and we should be tighter here at home. The truth is often sad.

I am not really understanding what prejudice you are speaking of. Perhaps you are looking into a mirror. Thinking Adam and Eve were white is a prejudice in itself and I do not hold that about them.

Do tell, please name those people, responding to this board, whom you are accusing of racism.....Who please, name names, are going to have issues in the "Spirit Realm" (Whatever [edit] that means).

Then please explain to your racist friend, that no one, absolutely no one, is preventing him from sitting on his own front porch and sipping sweet tea....

Please tell us all the story, Bill, give us the account of when your friend was prevented from sitting on his own front porch, and sipping sweet tea in peace. Who, Bill, prevented him? Who, Bill are you accussing of having prevented him from doing this?... Who is the guilty party, and what did they do to your friend from "Nam"?.... Please explain, precisely, who it was that expressed their indignation at an American Texan peacably sipping their sweet-tea on their own front porch....who were these people? when did it happen? what did they do? Who are you accusing and why? Which KKK members have been cruel to your friend? When did these KKK members assault him? Who were they?

Yeah... I am sorry, but I am personally unaware of any idiot who is of the in-supportable opinion that Adam and Eve were "white"....never met them....never talked to such a being....perhaps, other than yourself (FAL) of course.
