I don't think that there is an issue about whether African-Americans will vote for Senator Obama. This will be the first time that a major political party has nominated an African-American for president. So the acceptance of his candidacy among white European-Americans will certainly be the subject of much research.

 

Back when Alan Keyes first came on the scene, I (white male) was extremely interested in him as a candidate.

There are also several other blacks (not currently in politics) that I would seriously consider, should they decide to run.

I don't think race is anywhere near the problem that so many pretend that it is. I firmly believe that if "RACE" were not artifically injected into virtually every conflict that involves a black and white, 99% of the "problems" would cease to exist; mainly because the conflict has zilch to do with race from the git-go.
