It appears that LaPage and Trump are cut from the same cloth.

    From: http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat...n_suggestion_he_might_resign_over_racism.html

Republican Maine Gov. Paul LePage, who has been manipulating white resentment politics since the border wall was just a twinkle in Donald Trump's eye, has gotten himself in the soup again. First, last week, he declared that 90 percent of the drug dealers arrested in his state are black or Latino, an assertion for which he has provided no evidence and which seems demographically unlikely even when considering that the state's drug pipeline does in fact run through more diverse states to its south such as Connecticut and New York. (Although as the Atlanticpoints out—and LePage doesn't seem to ever mention—another one of Maine's suppliers is largely white Massachusetts.) Next, after apparently misunderstanding a reporter's words to mean that a Democratic state legislator named Drew Gattine had called him a racist, LePage left a voicemail for Gattine in which he called the representative a "little son of a bitch socialist [Edited]."

Controversy, not surprisingly, ensued. And Tuesday morning, LePage implied during a radio appearance that he'd lost the support of his party and, boo hoo, might just have to take his ball and go home by resigning:

La Page is obviously another nut-job. He and Trump are well-suited for each other.

My recollection is that LePage was referencing the race of just the drug dealers from out of state, though his 90%+ was a gross overstatement unsupported by any evidence, and his subsequent actions are inexcusable. It's ironic that two men with such radically dissimilar backgrounds have such similar personalities and mannerisms, and appeal to the same demographic - LePage is Trump, rough-cut version. He grew up as a street kid in Lewiston, was homeless for part of his teen years, worked his way thru college, then became a successful businessman; not quite the scenario as Trump's upbringing. Of course, that's no excuse for some of the things each guy has said and done.

Amen! They both need to limit their talking.

They are like the pretty girl who you think is so attractive and then she opens her mouth and you realize she's crazy. Crazy can make an otherwise attractive person very ugly.

Racist? LOL Just can't resist playing that card. No matter how contrived it is.

Dumb. Dumb Dumb thread with another fictitious title. Consider the source and the poster.

A wall on the border. Racist? How idiotic and typical of the radical race baiting left.
