A group describing themselves as "radical Christian activists" attempted to blow up a church under construction in Texas. They said they have 10-15 members, and they believe society is too focused on self-improvement and self-graticfication and not the glorification of God. So how does blowing up a church glorify God and make society more God focused? :BangHead:

"Cmdr. Chris Havens, the Police Department spokesman, said the suspects boasted about belonging to a leaderless group of 10 or 15 who share a belief that society has become too focused on self-improvement and self-gratification and has lost focus on the glorification of God.

"They admit to being Christian and being brought up Christian, but they believe there should be one denomination and one church, not multiple denominations," Havens said.

"They did not say they had a name for their group, other than they were a radical Christian activist group. That was the way they explained their group," he said."

    makes no sense:tear:

Time for religious profiling so we can deal with these Christian terrorists before they strike. Preemption is the best method of prevention.

Four things stand out in my mind.
    1. Incompetance. They tried TWICE to ignite the "bomb" but failed and were interrupted during the third try.
    2. Stupidity. One guy burned his feet apparently trying to stomp out the fire in a foolish attempt to 'destroy' evidence.
    3. Inconsistency. Claiming to be "christian" while attempting to destroy a Christian church.
    4. Deception. They claim they have three activities.Bible study.(riiiiiiight!) 'Consensual' fighting. And destruction. It is my gut feeling that 'bible study' doesn't happen much in their assembly. Most likely the prevalent activity is the fighting. I have heard of several groups which get together to fight. MySpace has many vidoes of this.

Prediction; on a local level there will be some who will make the absurd claim that "christains" are no different than muslims.

"Christians" blowing up churches? Eh...not so much. Nothing Christ-like about that and it does not glorify God in the least.

In long run it doesn't matter which religion that someone who commits a crime claims to be a member of. He should be put on trial for breaking the law.

This incident just shows that just because someone claims to be a member of a specific religion doesn't make it so. We should all bear this in mind.

    Agreed.

The key here is that they are a self proclaimed "radical Christian activist group."

More likely just a bunch of hooligans looking for an excuse for their actions.
