Explain how someone can open a secure door from a forklift.

Coo l. Call him and ask him to open my door to the back deck. I'll video it. He doesn't need my address, he should know, so have him do it. I'll pay him 1000.00.

I think you're making things up at this point since perhaps you feel that yep, you were hoodwinked, better add things to the account to make it more 'real'.

Call him and have him open my door. He must be able to do many things, this should be easy.

Perhaps he does not want his powers exposed to the world, but would rather live a quiet peaceful life.

You are just a skeptic so no amount of evidence will persuade you.

I'm a skeptic? Let me ask you this, if someone told you this happened, what would it take for you to believe it?

    That's right, seeing it happen.

Call him and have him open my door. We're waiting.

You were fooled by a common parlor trick. The reason the ID badge will open the door is that it has an RFID chip in it that the sensor next to the door reads and recognizes. Your friend just fooled you by using a stronger RFID chip to open the door remotely. Think of it as a more sophisticated garage door opener.

IOW he can't answer what I asked, and instead is content to use Scriptures out of context while using subjective experiences as the canon.

He cannot back up one thing he claims as truth from the Word, his experience is 'the truth' and to question it and ask for Scriptural substantiation is frowned upon as 'arguing'. He is his own source of truth and is not to be questioned (speaking of kurecki here).

    So are you.

    Gotcha. Thumbsup

If the door has a power operator to open it, a receiver and a transmitter (like the kind you buy for fork trucks with a clip on it....).

I've sold doors for 17 years now. Ask me a door question.

If that jerk doesn't want to show the world his " power," why did he want to show you? Have you asked him? Anyway, next day you see him be sure you lock your car, and ask him to unlock it just before you go out to it.

I am sure everyone at your workplace knows you are a Christian. With that in mind - it could be that is why they are messing with you. - Just a possibly -

I work in a hospital where I have to scan my badge to get into certain areas/rooms. Maybe someone was on the other side of the door scanning their badge, making it open? Just a guess.

James Randi Faith Healers is an introductory crash course on Christian magic. Of course he does not believe in ANY supernatural, and as a magician he is always trying to figure it out.

Back to the OP, this sounds like a prank. The only way to confirm it is to subject him to a test outside his control. You may want to ask him to move his phone on a desk. Of course he may outrightly resist claiming he does not want to show off, but the point is, in absence of an objective test, I'd advise you lean towards being pranked.

But there is a great deal of skepticism here in matters supernatural. There were some demonic powers in biblical times. How would one reconcile faith in the Word of God while rejecting present manifestations of such?

Evan, what you witnessed may be real. Remember that demons can possess people, if they let them, and it is not beyond belief that his cohorts were putting on a show for you. I would suggest that, instead of being enamored by this and his abilities, you rebuke the demon, and do as Joseph when he was tempted by his master's seductive wife ... FLEE! And like Lot, don't look back!
