Impatient? What? this is the rule of this forum, and it is being ignored. When other worthy discussions are shut down once page 3 starts. What is impatient about that, I didn't make the rule up.

There is a verse that says that "he is faithful to keep that which I have committed against that day" or something like that. So a reeeeaaaal christian wouldn't be misled into thinking that behavior was cool. Anyone else is not elect so it doesn't matter what they think.

Then exacetly what are you saying about those christians who do approve this, and other evil, such as abortion?
There are a lot of christians mislead into thinking a lot of evil against God. we see it frequesntly on this board.

I happen to agree that if there is a 3 page rule, it should be enforced...

    But this
Was what struck me as out of character for you...

I have seen you stick up for mods around here, so to lash out at them seems so not like you.

I hope you will take this in the spirit I am typing it in.
You are like a sister to me... (hey, you actually are in Christ:thumbs: )
So if something is bothering you, I'll be listening.

I have come to love your posts... they challenge me, and I appreciate that.

This will be the last time I mention this... If you don't PM me, I'll assume everything is OK.

I think this thread is a worthy one myself.. There is a 3 page limit so this thread should be closed, but I think I am going to request a moderator move it instead of closing it as I believe there is good information in this thread and as long as people play nice this thread could prove to be useful to some.

    RevMitchell,

What if the "unrepentant sin" happens to be....

    Pride.

    Self rightiousness.

    Lust in their heart.

    A critical spirit.

    Unjustified anger

    Lukewarmness

    Spiritual apathy

    Haughtiness

Should all of those people be dismissed from your church?

Who would be left in your church?

As far as page length goes, there is not a board policy on length, but sometimes moderators will set up a length in case things get out of hand. It is subjective.

I was both shocked and broken hearted when I first read about Ray Boltz in the news this past Monday. I actually wept for him when I read about him coming out. Here is a message I sent to one of my friends on Facebook Monday afternoon:

After spending the last week in prayer about this issue and then today getting confirmation after reading what J. Lee Grady wrote in his weekly column, and reading the testimony on this thread, I think I know what my response should be.

After hearing of this, I listened again to the topic person's songs. The songs relay God's Word. The man does not.

Because I fear getting kicked out of the board i cannot say that I agree with J. Lee Grady. For I have friends that got kicked off this board for agreeing with things like J. Lee Grady said.

The problem with the article is that it deals with this issue as if the lost are the first concern. Since Boltz claimed to be part of the church the first concern is him and how to deal with him as a claimed church member. Keeping him in the fellowship is not a biblical option.

Well, if God can speak through an (other word for Donkey) He can speak through an unelect person. I never like his music anyway. It always sounded (the other word for happy).

I agree that we shouldn't allow an unrepentant homosexual to be a part of the fellowship, but it also brings to my mind what do we do about the unrepentant gossips, unrepentant liars, unrepentant legalists and unrepentant pharisees, etc. who are part of the fellowship.

If church discipline had not been ignored it would be the problem it is today. Although there would be fewer churches in existence.

no, and neither would anyone else in my church. Churches are hospitals for sinners.

Unfortunetly some think churches should be *islands* of safety for those who feel they are *better* than everyone else. Its easier to look down at others from a distance.

I wonder what they would have done when Jesus allowed a prostitute to bless Him and minister to Him?

I'm certainly not condoning homosexuality or prostitution. Only pointing out the danger of an isolationist attitude regarding sinners.

    AMEN.... :jesus: :godisgood: :1_grouphug:

Now let me add, I wouldn't put him on program to sing his songs but like any sinner, I will present to him the Gospel with hopes he will repent and accept Christ as his Lord and Savior. We don't know when our last time will be to preach to him the Gospel. I don't want any opportunity to be missed on my watch.

So, using your logic, as I interpret your statement, you would approve of someone with with some highly contageous disease coming into a hospital, but refusing any medical treatment, thereby subjecting everybody else to catching this disease; am I correct?

I can agree with your statement insofar as he my want to come into church, knowing he needs to repent, but certainly not to darken the church doors for the purpose of achieving "justification" for his sin!!
