RCC speaks out about Extermination

    The Roman Catholic churche's practice of extermination in the dark ages has been the topic of books such as "Foxes Book of Martyrs" but the Catholic response is either denial or demonizing the victims of the Catholic Church's dark ages.

    Nothing "new" there.

    Isn't it time we heard from some Catholic sources that were/are of sufficient courage and credibility to admit to the history that everyone knows about?

    Well as learned on the other thread about the RCC in the dark ages - there are some good RC sources speaking out on this in a credible manner that matches with known history.

    Let's assume that Fox's Book of Martyrs is all correct, or even, mostly correct.

    Which is the proper Christian conduct:

    1) To attack those who attack us, even if verbally.
    2) To turn the other cheek, and even forgive those who have hurt us.

    Now, after you have answered that, which method does Fox's book use?

    "is it an attack" to admit to history?

    If so, then Christian ought not to mention the Crucifixion of Christ, the rejection of the Messiah by the Jews or the persecution of the Christian church by the Jews of the first century.

    If "admitting to history" is "really" just an attack on somebody - then we should not discuss the Gospel at all.
