I was reading the news this morning (worldnetdaily.com) and just sat here shaking my head.

The Air Force Academy has begun erecting pagan worship centers so as to accommodate those who demand their rights to worship such. (How can a pagan have the clarity of mind to command others when it comes to our military?)

Our President has signed an Executive Order basically tying the hands of those entrusted with protecting our borders. The gist behind it all is that these criminal aliens will become more liberal votes.

A man was arrested for openly viewing child porn while traveling on a commercial jet. (Someone should have beat that boy from one end of the plane to the other. Okay, so I'm angry.) Many otherwise considered pillars of our communities have been arrested for kinky sex habits. Think Pennsylvania. Judges, caught up in shady deals. Congressmen on the take. Our economy is in shambles. Troubles abound at every turn. Drug Cartels own and operate Mexico which has been infiltrating their craft into America for decades.

The list of vice is endless. People at large have become animals. It's not safe to be a child anymore. Gangs. Fraud. Murder. Crooked cops. People literally dying on Black Friday while shopping.

To me, it's time to stop arguing doctrine and start taking a stand against sin. Listen to me talk! Right in my own family I've three Grand Daughters (still teens) living with their boy-friends. Where's their mother? Oh, she's living with her boy-friend. (So don't point the finger at me...the same mentality exists in your family and don't try to deny it)

My God..., My God..., My God..., Have Mercy Upon Us. Give us the strength and the courage to stand up for you and to resist Sin. Encourage us to be as bold as lions. Instant in season and out of season. Amen.

Are we in serious trouble or not? America has almost hit rock bottom. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Remember no one is perfect, no one can keep from sinning, and God accepts you like you are. Just ask most anyone who claims to be a Christian today. So all must be well.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Right over your head, huh? Well, unlike many, my world just isn't as perfect as some others. Like your's perhaps. Perhaps it was because my parents were sinners? Hey, lets do something impressive. Lets start a thread and argue some doctrine or another. Okay? You pick the issue..., and lets go at it. I'll be waiting.

...in the meantime families heap coals of fire upon their heads.

Offering up scripture is fine but does this alone impact on the lost?

You seemed to be distraught so I gave a scripture from that perspective, perhaps my perception was wrong.

Nevertheless, all the answers to all questions are in the scriptures.

As to your inquiry concerning the lost, here IMO is what we should do on a personal level:

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

I saw that and I also have these feelings and must keep reminding myself that He is in ultimate control.

I guess all we can do is to be about our Father's business, praying and supporting worthy scriptural efforts with our time and treasure.

Yes, HAMel, it seems to me as well that a darkness has settled in over the entire world.

Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

I can't imagine using worldnetdaily for a news source, it's terrible journalism.

That said we are in the midst of a culture of growing depravity and senseless vice. Just the other day I read in a newspaper, the Guardian from the UK, that they were wondering why religious folk, like us, keep telling people they are bad. The author's position was this was not a good practice. Yet on the cover and for pages leading to the article was account after account of scandal, murder, genocide, rape, and other deviant behavior.

We as a world are in trouble. Increasingly in trouble. Thus we need to speak the truth of the Gospel all the more.
