Round and round and round the reasoning (KJVO) goes, where it stops, nobody knows.

Five pages, and still no scriptural support for single-translation-onlyism. Oh well, I'll continue to ask anyway. This has got to be the 30th time I've asked for scriptural support.

This is not true. The International Bible Society (IBS) owns the text of the NIV and Zondervan only has the printing rights for the NIV - Kind of like the KJV being owned by the crown and certain printers (Cambridge, Oxford, ect.) having the rights to print it. This is just guilt by association. Zondervan printed the NIV long before Harper-Collins publishing (owned by Rupert Murdoch) bought Zondervan.

I hope you can afford to buy magnifying glasses to give away with those dollare store Bibles. I bought one and the print was so small and fuzzy that I could hardly read it. :D

I see you just beat me to the punch.

But this is hardly reasoning from the scriptures as has been pointed out.

Would this also apply to the large numbers of KJVs printed by Zondervan?:

    http://www.zondervanbibles.com/kjv.htm

I've related this story before: A few years back, a KJVO acquaintance of mine noticed that the Bible I happened to be carrying was an NIV. He began to tell me the whole Zondervan/Murdoch spiel, which I patiently listened to. I then asked him what company had printed his KJV. He looked to see the publisher's name: Zondervan!

[I see that while I was typing several others pointed out that Zondervan also publishes KJVs.]

I think 5 pages is long enough for someone to reason with us from the Scriptures why they support one version onlyism.

"Be of one mind" just doesn't do it.

Either does "Rupert Murdoch owns the company that has the rights to the NIV"
