Can a person of faith be a rebel AND a servant of God? I've been thinking about the OT heroes, and it seems to me that most of them went against the norms of their time to fufill God's wishes. Moses was certainly a rebel to the Egyptians, Noah built an ark in the desert, David was at war for most of his adult life. And Daniel was definitely a rebel.

It seems those you mentioned may have rebelled against the world, but were being faithful to God while they did so.

Am I missing something in your question?

    peace to you:praying:

I met Dr. Keith Gomez once. He explained his favorite animal, the Maverick. It is viewed as rebellious by some, but in reality has no master but God. I like that.

Yes, Jesus was THE rebel of His time. But I'm thinking about just everyday people, those that have been chosen by God for a specific task.

The name Protestant is one suggestive of rebellion.

It depends on the topic I guess. I have been called a radical Baptist. Why? Because I hold to traditional Baptist beliefs and have not sold out to the modern heresies of many modern Baptist, including most of the SBC .... which is not really Baptist ..... except in name.:tonofbricks:
