My wife gave me a book for Christmas and it is an ammazing story from WWII about an American B17 pilot and a German Pilot of a Bf109 fighter and their encounterment and relationship that transpired over the next 65 years. Being an Old Geezer myself who likes war stories you may also want to look at reading it. Title; A Higher Call by Adam Makos

I love WW2 history---and have the Ambrose collection---among other authors

I would like to get the latest by Alex Kershaw---The Liberators that traces the 45th Infantry through Italy and Europe much as Ambrose's Band of Brothers and Easy Company of the 101st Airborne
